It is a good purchase. I needed something to have multiple outputs for my mac.

I haven't had to use it yet. I only bought it in case I have to use a regular usb. I think it is a little on the pricey side. It seams that they build a laptop with just one usb-c output and then punish you for it. I am all in for innovation, but the price no this is hefty just to be able to use a usb device.

The adapter works very well. It could be improved by lengthening the pig tail.

I use this to utilized my normal USB and to connect to an additional monitor and I have had no problems. Time shall really tell though I guess, I have only owned it a few months. Hopefully it is a product that lasts. As of right now, no complaints, works just fine. Do wish it was a bit cheaper. I find it appalling that you can get the USB for $20 but to essentially only get the HDMI in addition and pay $70 for it is outrageous. Only reason I splurged was because I honestly needed it and I got it on sale and with certificates or I probably wouldn't have spent the $70. Basically, I try not to think about how much I paid for it as I use it.

A little pricey, but it works well w/ my mb pro... Does the job.

Awesome product helps me to do multiple things with my MacBook.

Wish it had a magsafe adapter too so can use other Mac chargers in a pinch.

The product works great, but the price is a lot for this item.

The dongle is useful, it does what it is supposed to do, but it costs over $70 bucks to be able to plug in one thing with usb 3.0 usb c, and HDMI. I would recommend buying this for around $30, but I had to get it because it was the only dongle that was available at the time. ]

I've used this device with a number of HDMI devices and generally don't have issues. The USB port is great and I've run multiple devices off it through a hub. Use this with a late 2016 Pro 15" and usually with an ASUS VN279 which occasionally gives me this weird issue of many tiny static dots and a crackling noise. Don't have a clue what causes this but when it comes up (maybe once a week if used daily at most) I unplug it right away, wait a second and plug it back it and all is fine. That's why the lack of 5 stars. In all my years of tech work never seen this before but it's infrequent enough it's not really bothersome. I would trust 3rd party adapter less and I got this because I needed something right away and there wasn't many choices for HDMI.

I'm glad I bought the adaptor, I wish it had one more USB port.
