Apple - USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter is great. No issues, Plus I hear the next iPhone that comes out in Sept. will be using the USB-C. Have not tried with the Samsung S8, but it comes with the USB-C also. Recommend the open Box - It will save you some money

It was an open box item I bought online and when it arrived it wasn't what j thought j needed.

If you plan to share your screen display, you need this device for your MacBook. Works great and you can charge your computer while displaying your second screen. You can charge your cell phone, upload or download from your USB, flash drive, presentations and more.

I mostly use it for my flash drives with it, but it is great to have! I have also used it for the SuperDrive, and it works great for that too. Honestly I know it's a pain to have adapters, but it isn't that bad! Great product, can't wait to try the HDMI port!

Bought it to go with the MacBook for my daughter thinking it would be necessary. She used it the first month, but now I see she's adapted and she hasn't used it for a week now. If you need HDMI instead of AirPlay mirroring it's a must have, but for casual users without thumb drives or other style USB devices it's not needed.

While I am disappointed in apple making us purchase these adapters instead of including them, I do have to say that the adapter functions well and does what it is intended to do. Its not too bulky and I keep mine in my case for my MacBook so it is always handy

I wanted to be sure I’d get the best quality when connecting my MacBook Pro to the TV, and this adapter provides just that! The ease of being able to connect USB devices while charging and connecting to the TV is a great bonus.

i really like this adaptor!.. i can connect my macbook thru my tv which is a 4k tv! its so clear and nice.. i don't need those other adaptor attach to it.. it even has a usb port where i can charge my other stuff in! make another one but 2 usb port please!!! thanks =)

Exactly what I needed! Purchased a new Apple MacBook from Best Buy that has only a USB C port. Purchased this Apple adapter to connect to my 34 inch monitor. The sales person handed me exactly what I needed and I was out of the store in under five minutes!

Functions well without any problems (present multiple times throughout week). Like the power pass through and additional port. Wish it was cheaper, but have had connectivity problems with off brands in past

An accessory such as this one is essential to use a Bluetooth mouse, external USB drive, etc. works as expected but feels a little “cheap” and doesn’t always have the expected satisfying click when inserting into the port. But works nonetheless.

I used this with our bible study sessions and I am very happy for this adapter. It made all of us be on the same page since I am able to connect my laptop to the widescreen TV. Thank you Apple for all these gadgets. I have one too for my ipad connection.

I bought this just over 2 months and am pleasantly surprised with the quality. This is a must have accessory for MacBook Pro if you are planning to use it at work. I do a lot of presentations and this adapter lets me connect to the projector with no issues.

The new MacBooks that only have a single USB-C port on them. This lack of ports makes it difficult to do anything with the new MacBook without accessories. This accessory solves some of those problems and is portable enough that it can be carried around easily.

while I wish that the USB-C had room for another USB port, this fits the bill for making the macbook pro more user friendly. Costs a little more as it's from Apple but wouldn't mess around when it comes to connectivity. May buy another one for other port.

I purchased a similar product from Amazon but the reliability and quality of the Apple product is so much better and more predictable. You certainly pay a premium for Apple products and accessories but you are also going to have a better experience.

This has been essential for using an external monitor with my MacBook Pro. It's also helpful to plug in my wireless keyboard (I have dual monitors, so I have a second multipart adapter as well for the other monitor and wireless mouse). Works great!

I think its rediculous that these ports are not integrated so i was forced to buy this. Does the job nothing more nothing less. Unfortunately we are forced to buy these now. If its not going to be integrated it should be included with the macbook itself. Rediculous... nonetheless this is the fix for that

The port has an usb outlet and a hdmi outlet along with the charging port. Its handy.

Honestly I think this should have been included in the prices of the current line up of Macbook and Macbook Pros. Essential adapter for $70 is a little ridiculous, but that aside this unit is perfect for what it's made to do. Never have really trusted 3rd Party accessories, especially with a $1700 laptop.
