I decided to buy the pricier Apple adapter rather than third party alternatives. I'm always thinking of the long term that these will last longer than the cheaper ones. I'm always looking for a bargain, but when it comes to tech, you usually get what you pay for.

I will say that works. But, Is it worth the amount they ask ? That’s a no, should have been around 25 or 30. It’s just a plastic dongle, should have been a metal build at least for the 70 bucks they charge.

Ok, so I don't appreciate that the new MacBook Pro's require adapters and dangles to work with existing peripherals. However, this adapter from Apple is pretty much a no-brainer if you're going to purchase a new MacBook or MacBook Pro!

This adapter is essential if you're going to use a MacBook with most peripherals as it only has a USB-C connector. I really appreciated the Best Buy team member's recommendation to purchase it at the same time I bought my new computer.

This has been by far one of my best purchases for the newer MBP. I use an external monitor, mouse and keyboard and this adapter can house those connections as well as keeping the fourth usb-c available for use!

I have my MacBook hooked up to a 32in tv while I'm at home and without this device it would have been a lot harder. its nice that it has the usb, hdmi, and the type c outlets on them so you can run multiple things at once.

This adapter is a must have if you have the MacBook Air with no USB ports. I can also hook up to almost any A/V equipment in offices via the HDMI connection. Makes sense to get this as an add-on.

Nothing much to say except it does what its supposed to do. As always apple quality is top notch. Didn't get 5 stars because of the price. As always Apple is pricier. I did buy this as a refurbished so it was discounted. I like buying Best Buy refurbished, always good experiences so far.

Use it daily on an iMac 5K. Does the job I need it to do. Plug it in, plug in an HDMI, you've got an extra screen. USB plug is convenient for mouse/keyboard too.

I recently purchased a new 15" MacBook Pro. Upon receiving it, I realized that I could no longer use old connections. So I researched online and found that it required this adapter. So I went to the nearest Best Buy and got one.

The multi-port adapter gives me all the ports I need when using my Mac Book Pro. I primarily use the USB and HDMI ports - often at the same time - no issues. And the adapter is compact, light weight and is easy to travel with.

Great dongle. It does the job well, but it is still somewhat inconvenient to have to carry this all the time, but that is a drawback of the lack of connectivity of the laptop and not a drawback of the dongle.

Easy to use, and will definitely come in handy for making my laptop useable for multiple purposes. It was expensive so I leave it at home most times to prevent myself from losing it, but perfect for when I want to use my HDMI.

this adaptor is a must for use with an iPad Pro or a new MacBook Pro with USB. the connection is easy to do and the mirroring is automatic. the charging pass through is nice too. overall, a good product.

This products is great. It's super easy to carry around. I just stick it in a small pocket in my backpack and take it with me everywhere. It's super lightweight and great for plugging more than one thing on the MacBook's one port.

I really use this adapter for HDMI connector and USB, wish it could have more usb connectors but it is really annoying having to carry this around if you want to connect a device or a hard drive to the Mac Book Pro.

Hate the fact this laptop only has one port, but in practice it ended up not being that big of a deal. I have a bluetooth mouse for on the go, and at home I have this adapter to connect up to a monitor. It's not the prettiest or cheapest adapter, but it's functional, which is all I need.

I kind of prefer this to the clip-on style docks I see, it frees up more ports and gives you a little extra flexibility. With that said, I like to use this on one side of the MBP with a dock on the other.
