I originally purchased the Insignia version of this cable but it stopped working after about a month. First time I plugged this cable in a firmware update happened on my new MacBook pro and it has worked reliably ever since.

Had a different adapter for my mac, so when I upgraded to the recent model I had to purchase this adapter. I needed it to plug in my additional display monitor with HDMI Cable, it works just fine.

With all the products that require a usb connection, this was a must have for me and I can also use hdmi to stream movies on my tv. I also like that I can still charge my computer while using other things at the same time.

This adapter is great if you are in need of the two ports. Plug in your power cable, an external monitor and something in the usb slot and just plug it in. Works great. Wish I didn't loose the first one.

This adapter feels strong and works great. I have it for the new 2019 iPad Pro and it works great. I have not found any issues with it and i use it for a lot of video editing and file transferring.

This adapter should come with MacBook in the box, period. There isn't anything more useful than this adapter for your Mac. What are you waiting for? Buy one now! Avoid the single use connectors and save yourself some money and bulk.

Works perfectly fine. I have no negative reviews for this product. You can connect your Apple device to your TV and also gives you the ability to connect another USB device. That way you can charge your device on the side.

Too expensive for what it is (there was a time when this kind of accessory would have come with a computer without additional cost), but I trust it over third party accessories for the time being. Some cheap knock-offs may not have the appropriate circuitry for handling power over USB-C.

Purchased this multiport HDMI i /c-type usb and regular usb adapter to use with my new Lenovo 900 laptop as the Lenovo does not have a HDMI output port. This adapter plugs into the laptop's c-type usb port. Unfortunately, while the adapter doos work for the HDMI, it's matinf capability was poor. It kept coming loose and resulter in my constantly reconnecting the adapter to get the 2nd screen back on. And the regular USB port sometimes didn't connect, maybe because of the constantly loose connection. And finally, extremely overpriced .

So yeah it's pricey but it gives me all the ports that I need now that many HDMI adapters Are dongle's that wirelessly communicate with the TV or projector and usually require a USB port to power them

It sucks you have to spend extra money on this adapter but need it since the new Macbook's only come with USB C connections. You can also charge your computer through this adapter but it does not charge as quickly compared to charging directly to laptop

It does what it’s supposed to do, but the USB port has a very tight fit compared to the same port on other devices. I only wish I didn’t NEED to buy a $69 adapter after paying $2,200 for a Macbook Pro, but it’s necessary in order to connect to anything.

Not much to say here - it's just an adapter. Because it's from Apple, you know it's pretty much bulletproof. It is annoying however that this accessory is basically a requirement yet it doesn't come with the laptop.

The MacBook Pro does not have the same ports that the MacBook Air has, and I needed to buy this attachment to perform the same tasks as the MacBook Air. It works well with this computer.

Let's be honest, Apple makes a ton of money making things so you need an accessory to other things work. This adapter works great. I wish it had 2 HDMI ports but otherwise, super happy.

I had bought the compatible from insignia. Needless to say after 1 use stopped working. Returned for the original Apple which it was cheaper and after more than a year it still works like a charm.

I’ve got a couple of these. They work great. I have tried a few different adapters as well. This one is my top pick. I work in video production and am constantly needing to hook/unhook things.

Using the new MacBook Pro as a primary device means needing adapters. This one includes hdmi with USB-A as well as USB-C for power all through one connection. It's wonderful and useful - I would prefer it be smaller… and a little cheaper. Alas it does serve its purpose.

Not what I expected. I will return tomorrow for a different one. But nevertheless Best Buy is the best store in town. I’ll never go any where else.

I purchased this after returning the one that fit into the 2 C connectors since it didn’t have enough power to even operate CD player. I have been impressed with this one as it is so much better
