You really do have to have one if you ever want to transfer or backup files because there are no usb ports on a Macbook. This adapter works great and is small enough to fit just about anywhere if traveling.

I purchased this adapter when I purchased my MacBook Pro. It seemed a little expensive for what it is, but has come in very handy when needing to connect to other electronic devices or load software! No regrets!

Like my grand daddy used to say... “you get what you pay for” so I know I’ll have this for at least as long as I have the Mac, likely longer. As long as apple doesn’t change the interface and I don’t loose it...I’ll never have to buy one again.

Would have giving a higher rating - but everything Apple has an add on!!!! My Daughter wanted this for school, but of course you need a $100.00 adapter to be compatible with USB's - which the laptop doesn't have. Hence need to buy an adapter. BUY SAMSUNG!!

Nonetheless, this does what it needs to do. Just hate the fact that I need an adapter to connect simple peripherals, such as an iPhone! Hope everyone catches onto the USB-C world sooner than later...

A much needed adapter with the lack of ports on the macbook pro. You can charge your computer, plug in a USB or hdmi. The only thing that isn't so great is the price but its apple.

A necessary evil for use with my new MacBook Pro until the rest of the world catches up. It works fine, and sits in a pocket of my laptop case to be used regularly until the day it is eventually deemed obsolete.

This cable is great for connecting a usb c MacBook to a tv or anything with a hdmi and it has a standard A port for older usb. Also has extra usb c port for charging or any thing that has a usb c.

This is a good travel dongle. I only have need for one USB 3 and hdmi port when on the road. It can get a little warm around the USBC connection when transferring files, but that is to be expected.

I don't often need these extra ports. Rather have the nice slim machine instead of carrying around ports I don't need 90% of the time. But when you do, this adapter is great. Connect what you need and get the job done.

This Apple product works the best with MacBook Pro. Also better than the other adapters cause some of them dont work with a case on. It was used but almost seemed brand new. Works just like it is new

Now that Apple has once again changed their connection for USB to USB-C, we had to purchase the new adapter and it works like a charm! You can connect 3 different end to it, HDMI, USB and the new USB-C.

This was a must buy for me as I recently purchased a Lenovo yoga laptop and this has helped with multiple connections as well as the rate of speed and quality of the transfer. I recommend this product.!!! Highly

It does what it's supposed to. In a perfect world I wouldn't need it, but since Apple decided to get rid of all but the Lighting ports on their MacBook Pros, this little guy will have to do.

I did some research to find the best dongle for my new MBP and this one fit the bill. I purchased an open box one and have no complaints. It works perfectly and allows me to plug everything I need into one port.

I have tried a few USB-C adaptors for my macbook pro and this one is by far the best. the only issue I have is if you have a second screen connected via HDMI it flickers for a second. Nothing major and only has happened a few times. other then that great adaptor!

I’m one that desire hard back on flash drive. This is essential if you are going to use your flash drive or wanting to use a HDMI cable to hook up to monitors or projectors. Make sure to grab this!!

I have my own self interest and that is this product and if you want to.if I can have any device that can serve you well the letter after e the world don't ask me for s it everything's gonna work hard for it

Nothing justifies the insane price for this. First apple strips away the ports and saves money and then packages it and sells it for $79.99 making money from it again. Just ridiculous. But it works fine as expected. I'm sure there are some cheaper alternatives out there.

I bought a MacBook for travel and at the suggestion of a friend picked this adapter up as well. it small and perfect for the occasional need to use client projector or share files with usb stick
