Its best to have the Apple brand for Iphones and Ipads so you know you're getting the correct amperage to your device. Thats why I bought this item. Aftermarket wall plugs/chargers could damage the charging circuit of your device.

Knowing all the things that can happen to your phone when connecting it to the wall, original apple cubes are the way to go. My wife used one that was only $5 and it blew her phone and we had to buy a new one.
