One end plugs into the wall or extension cord and the other I can plug my Ipad cord into so it can recharge. Wow, does the job without all of the Apple smugness I have heard about.

USB POWER ADAPTER DOES THE JOB!

Unfortunately, EarPods do not come with a power adapter so you have to buy this separately. It's a very good idea to buy the adapter because it gives your charging station that much more flexibility. Also, when you buy a power adapter off-brand, WATCH OUT!
