Best Buy needs to train their staff better when offering Apple care at the register. First off I NEVER PURCHASE EXTENDED COVERAGE / WARRANTIES for reasons like this. I was recommended and told Apple care cost 29.00 dollars for my new AirPods, and if it’s lost, stolen or damaged you get a free replacement. NOT TRUE! Months after purchase I damaged one of my AirPods and called the online customer service, and verified all my information relating to my coverage. I told them that one of my AirPods was damaged and they said we’ll take it to the store and they will give you a replacement. I’ve already verified your coverage so all you need to do is go to a store, make a claim, and you’ll get a new set. I go to the store and talk with a representative with the geek squad, they verify my coverage, take my damaged AirPod and walk off to the back for a while. They come back out and tell me that they have to send off my case and AirPods to Apple to have the one bad AirPod replaced, and it will be gone a few weeks, And I have to pay another 29.00 for a deductible. My issue is Apple care is being sold in the store, and the staff selling it, is giving misleading information. Best Buy don’t just exchange the specified item, they send it off to Apple for repair or replacement, and you have to pay a deductible. Its not just buy this coverage and will exchange out with a new one if you ever need to use your coverage. Just buy all Apple products straight through Apple. The middleman isn’t giving all the facts upfront.

Product had hard time connecting to the case but with the Apple care I didn’t have to pay to get them replaced
