    This is a necessary evil of Apple with the complexity of their products. Given the price of their laptops you really don’t want to be without this service if an issue comes up 12 months in.

    I didn't get this when I bought my MacBook Pro a couple years ago, however, with the Air (and maybe all Macs after a certain year that I can't remember) they are no longer made to be worked on, but to replace. Made more sense this time.

    Seems to be a good deal. Covers accidents. I bought it as part of a gift and it says original receipt may be required which means I may have to give them the receipt but not sure yet.
