It does everything I need for my college courses. Starts up fast.

Based on reviews, AppleCare is still a better than other options. The only downside is doesn't cover lost or stolen, but you can enable Find My iPhone to help with that.

I know I made the right decision getting the Apple care....

Thought when I purchased it would cover any damage for 3 years, not realizing that there are deductibles. So, after barely one year and already down an additional $600+ ($300 plus tax for the plan, $300 plus tax for the deductible), we are already paying for half of a brand new computer. Truthfully, I would not waste money on any Apple product, but my daughter insisted upon a Mac (her birthday money). Whatever....go with androids/Windows based. Bit more info - when I brought the computer to Best Buy initially they sent it out. When it came back a few weeks later the problem seemed to be fixed. Walked out of Best Buy without any exchange of money. Came home and daughter reported the "U" key was not working. Took back up and computer sent out again. 2 weeks later I sent a request asking for an approximate ship date as school was starting. Next day I get this Geek Squad guy telling me I had to pay $300 for them to fix it, if not, they send it back. I went up to Best Buy to see if they could help with this issue (in short, no, and I was stuck paying the additional $300). Was not happy since the first time they sent it back no mention of additional money was brought up). Just don't.

Great to purchase he service plan it comes in very handy.

This is a must have with the purchase of getting a new device.
