What Your really Getting

The great thing about apple care is the "free repairs". But to call them free is kind of not true since your paying for the coverage plan. But the not so great thing about apple care is, you still have to pay a fee on top of the monthly coverage if you lose your apple item. However this is my opinion and the service as a whole is great,
