made the transition to SSD from regular HDD pretty easy and quick

Was an easy purchase, there was a sale and for the package and easy swap of hard drives, a no-brainer.

I highly recommend this if you are in the process of transferring files from one drive to another.

Purchased for system backups and the case is very high quality and comes with good software.

Works just as advertised. No problems at all! I would recommend to anyone converting to SSD.

I use this a lot more as an external hard drive, than it's orginal purpose. I have a lot of hard drives with no computers to put them in so I keep switching them out. It works perfectly 98% of the time the other 2 % I have to shut my lAptop down and reboot before it reads the drive.

This is overall a good storage unit, I really like how you can take it anywhere because it is so durable.

Now, I have an easy to use complete data backup device. I back up my HP desktop once a week to the external drive. It is portable and serves as a tool to show pictures and documents on a different pc. Everyone should do this with an old but workable hard drive.

I've seen similar devices go for much less, but this one was available at my local best buy. I used it to transfer data when doing a hard drive swap in my laptop, and it really was plug and play, so it was worth the extra money for the trouble free transfer.

I bought this to use in upgrading my laptops hard drives. Solid enclosure but you have to remember how HD caddy came out of enclosure or other end will pop off. Software worked great, better than higher priced program which couldn't find the hard drive.

I had a laptop that had a bad plug attachment to the mother board. I needed to backup my hard drive but couldnt power up the laptop so took the hard drive out and put it in this unit and backed up everything so I wouldnt lose it when laptop was repaired.

This allowed using an old hard drive in a laptop that was no longer working to be used. It only took a few minutes to install the hard drive in the case and connect it up to the computer. The transfer speed is faster than expected.

Performed as specified. Was fairly easy to use and worked just fine..

Right out of the box, the kit was easy to assemble. On first use, I plugged it into my laptop and it started right up. Very happy with how easy the installation was and how easy it was to use.

The drive housing is well made and has a good fit and finish. The cloning software in the package did not work after numerous attempts. I bought a WD drive for the computer and that drive came with Acronis True Image software. Thank goodness for the Acronis. Be careful if you buy this package expecting to replace or upgrade your laptop hard drive. Take your time and allow for enough time for the new drive to be reimaged. The drive housing allows you to use your old drive as an external hard drive.
