I know there are better films in DC’s Extended Universe. Wonder Woman, Man of Steel and Shazam all come to mind. But there’s just something that always keeps me coming back to Aquaman. I see the film’s problems. It’s too long, the flashbacks don’t always work, and it seems almost every other dialogue sequence is interrupted by an explosion. But I just love the film regardless. I love the campiness, I love the overly-serious political mumbo jumbo, and I love Jason Momoa as Aquaman. This is also a film that really lends itself to the 4K format. It’s highly stylized, and the colors really pop. It’s worth the upgrade from Blu-ray for sure.
