Customers have good things to say about the easy installation, long battery life, and solar-powered feature of the product. They appreciate that the solar panel is convenient and efficient, helping to keep their cameras charged without the hassle of constantly replacing batteries. However, some customers have concerns about the charging effectiveness, compatibility with older Arlo cameras, price, sunlight requirements, and occasional instances of the solar panel not charging.

Much easier than hard wiring it in. Works perfectly!

We are using 2 of these in areas that have more motion alerts than some of our other areas. They have worked great so far. Now I should say it is a good idea to start with a battery that is some what close to a full charge. These are made to top off the battery. I believe the one we had was at 93% and it didn't take much time to get back to fully charged. For us the lowest it might get is like 98% at night if there are motions triggered but it will charge in am and hit 100% usually by mid morning. Obviously, this will depend on your number of motion alerts. One other thing to mention is that when you use the solar panels you lose the ability to use activity zones. We knew that going into this but it's something to think about if you care that you will probably get alerts to motion you don't want or need. If you are looking for a sleek solar panel and you have cameras that will work with them this is a great choice. We also purchased the Wasserstein gutter mount for Arlo Pro to mount them and they worked great with this model panel.

It’s smaller than expected which is good and works perfect! Wish it came with a shorter cord option. On another Arlo camera I ordered a solar panel from Amazon which works perfectly but it is also much bigger and less attractive.

Purchased this solar panel for the front of the house and no matter the amount of traffic (people, animals, cars) that go by, the camera always recharges back to 100% without having to swap out batteries. Will be purchasing 3 more for the outside cameras that don't currently have a solar panel attached. Pricey, but good & they work.

Had to move to more direct sunlight, seems one that I bought works a little better than the other in terms of how much direct light it needs. Surprised at how small they are too. Easy hook up and installation. Strong magnet connections

I wanted a simple and effective way to keep one of my active coverage areas charged without having to hardwire it... At first, I wasn't really sold on the solar charging method till I had solar panels installed on my house and experienced the whole sun power deal...
When I picked one up and installed it... It automatically started charging. Simple installation and pretty straight forward approach that anyone can do it.
There is ONE issue I've ran into and that is when it's extremely hot here in AZ, it doesn't charge even though it's rated to support up to 132 degrees. Otherwise, any other day it works as advertised with no issues. Worth the addition to your camera setup. Thanks.

I used to charge the battery every two week. Now, the battery is keep at 100% at all time. Camera was install on the wall, The solar panel came with all the parts required to install on my gutter about 2 ft away from the camera. The solar panel work great.

Love the solar panel charger. Its about the size of your palm with an 8 ft cord. Easy to install. Works great, even on partly cloudy days. Only issue is when we got 23 inches of snow and it buried one of the panels (bad placement on my part) then it was cloudy for almost 3 days and the battery finally died. The 4th day the sun came out in the morning, I cleared away the snow, and the battery charged up within 1hr.

I have all my cameras powered by these panels. I never have to worry about them going dead.I have not had to charge one in over 3 years. Long lasting and I have never had one damaged from storms.

I had a great experience with the Arlo solar panel. I paid to have Best Buy handle the installation, and they did an excellent job. The solar panel has been charging my security system consistently with no issues even two years later.

This solar panel is a must have if you have an Arlo outdoor camera. This thing works, and is very easy to install. The price is a little bit high but it’s easier and cheaper than an extra battery.

The solar panel connects easily to the camera and works well as long as your get a lot of sun to it. Arlo's previous solar panel hardware to hang it was much better. But the solar panel works very well once you get it hung and connected.

ARLO Solar Panel Charger Works Good

An ARLO Product. I now have several of these Solar Panel Chargers. They do charge the Pro-4 + Pro-3 Floodlights to 100%. The panel needs about 4 hours for the Pro-4 Camera, and maybe 6 hours for the Pro-3 Flood Light. A hard wired 8-foot cord limits where the camera and panel can be mounted.

Does exactly what it is supposed to, as long as you get a couple of hours of sun each day and dont have an excessive amount of motion it will charge the camera back up to 100% each day.
Only negative is that the cord is not always long enough. One of the cameras is at a front door with an attached overhang that the cord can not get up and around without losing coverage necessary

Easy to set up and install. Works well to keep our cameras charged without having to climb a ladder, pull the camera, charge the battery, replace the camera, try to get it oriented correctly again, etc. Very hands off once it is set up. This took care of our main gripe with our Arlo cameras, as the batteries discharge more and more rapidly after a couple of extreme temp seasons.

Bought a whole bunch of Arlo products to installed in the perimeter of my parents' home. It made more sense to get a solar panel for the front door camera so we weren't having to charge it when the battery is low. It was easy to install without issue and so far has kept our front camera charged at all times. Highly recommend!

If you have a high traffic area that you’re sick of changing the batteries at, this is the buy. If you have a 4-6 hours of sun a day this will keep the battery at over 75%. We get Sun 8-9 hours a day and it stays on 100%. Excellent buy, easy to install. Wish it came with a long and short cord but no biggie.

I am very happy with my purchase of this Arlo product. The solar charger makes it so much easier for me to know that the Arlo camera is always charged and ready to go. Previously I would have to remember to plug up the camera with the wall charger and sometimes the battery life would be low. Now it's always charged. The whole wireless Arlo camera system is very easy to set up and I like knowing I can always check on things around my house when home or away.
