Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the excellent screen protection and ease of use offered by the Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S9. Many appreciate the product's proper fit and the clarity of the screen protector, while some find the price to be a bit high and experienced issues with the adhesive. A lifetime warranty is also a plus for many buyers.

Very Best Screen Protector for S9+

I have used several of the "big brand" screen protectors over many years and various phone brands, so when I got the Galaxy S9+ I, of course, bought and tried the familiar brand screen protectors for this new curved screen phone - the first curved screen I have owned. And Wow - was I Disappointed. None of them stayed on, prevented bubbles or felt sensitive on the S9+. So i researched and ultimately found the Armor Edge website, viewed the product specs and installation video and immediately purchased one. I Must Say... the Armor Edge is the Best Protector for the phone and curved screen and that says quite a lot since I have already tried 5 other glass name brands on the S9+. In addition to very secure adhesion, the glass screen covers the full screen perfectly, securely fits each of the 3 cases I use with the S9+ with excellent fit and superisingly, the sensitivity is smooth and improved to the point I do not have to turn the screen sensitivity on and it works flawlessly over the entire screen. I could not ask for a better screen protector and doubt that any exist. Am Very Glad I found and have an Armor Edge glass protector.

Pops off at the smallest bump

I'm only giving this 2 stars because of the ease of replacement. I love being able to go into the store to get it replaced immediately. What I don't love is going into the store every month because the protector doesn't stay on. A slight drop (onto carpet) pops it off, and it doesn't stay on at all once it pops off. They need more adhesive, or stronger adhesive, or make the whole thing sticky (like Zagg does) so it stays put. I used Zagg in the past, have dropped my phone on concrete, and the protector not only protected my screen, it stayed put even though the protector was shattered (that was fun to get off). I once again need a replacement, but this time, I will be going back to Zagg, even though replacement isn't quite as convenient (or free).

    Doesn't stick!

It's been a bumpy ride with this thing. First, the applicator in the package installed the glass so off-center I had to peel it off and re-adjust it by hand to make it flush to the screen. Whatever, I figured, it's on now. The morning after installing it, I woke up to find the bottom edge had popped up off the screen. I pushed it back on. Then everything seemed fine for a couple of days, except for the fact the protector makes little clicking and snapping noises when you press the edge of your screen. I was assured by Best Buy employees that the clicking was normal. I was fine with that. Today, two and a half days after buying all this, I dropped my phone about two feet off the ground. This screen protector flew off the phone when the corner of the case hit the ground, so that by the time my phone's actual screen was in jeopardy, the protector was gone. Luckily the phone landed screen side up and I was spared. But now the protector is filthy (just sticky enough to cling to dirt and gravel) and I can't reinstall it. I wasted $40 on this product. I'm only giving it two stars instead of one because I'm trying not to be dramatic.

Love that Best Buy stood behind the product

When I purchased my new phone (Samsung Galaxy 9) I decided to purchase the Armor Edge Screen Protector and asked the salesperson if they could "install" it for this tech novice Nana. David advised me of the charge for this ($8) which I agreed to. There wasn't a case I liked so I ended up ordering one off of Amazon which arrived 5 days later. As I was inserting the phone in the case per the instructions included with the case, the screen protector shattered! Imagine my relief when I went back and they replaced it (and "installed" the new one!) for NO cost to me!! For whatever reason when I "snapped" on the case I applied just a little too much pressure and caused the screen protector to crack, but was very happy that Best Buy stood behind there services.

Even a lifetime warranty can’t make this better

After the first screen protector came off after only a week we sent it back to Armor Edge for a replacement. It took a little over a week to receive the replacement, which was pretty good although you get no notifications that anything has been received or sent so you have no idea if anything is being done. The design of this screen protector is terrible. The only part that sticks to the phone is the edge and it doesn’t do it well. Installation is difficult at best. The adhesive isn’t sticky enough and doesn’t last. We ended up wasting the replacement during installation (partly my fault, part design flaw). This item is junk and not worth the money. Even having a lifetime warranty doesn’t make up for the terrible design.

I purchased this screen protector because the Geek Squad recommended it and the warranty Best Buy will honor, but it will not stay on my phone. I've had to go in three times now for it to be replaced because it will just pop right off. Put my phone in my pocket, it pops off. Throw my phone on to my bed, it will pop off. I wouldn't recommend this screen protector to anyone.

    Didn't survive 24 hours

Just upgraded my phone; we stopped in to pick up a case and screen protector. I've never had a screen protector actually break on me (I'm not rough on my devices) so I grabbed an Armor Edge screen protector without much thought. It didn't even last 24 hours before it cracked. I bonked the edge of my phone against a glass drinking glass and a few minutes later it spontaneously cracked. It wasn't dropped and there wasn't any impact. Just a little, run-of-the-mill tap. In addition to breaking it didn't stick very well either. I was careful to to follow the provided application instructions as to not waste my money. Considering the stupid thing still broke a few hours later, it was doomed to happen anyway though I guess. I'm taking it back with my receipt to see what can be done about it but I'm astounded this product was so awful. I'm hesitant to even replace it.

I installed it myself 6 months ago and had no real issues doing so. It fit fine with my clear case. Today my phone fell about 3 feet face down onto tile and while the protector cracked my screen didn't. So it did what it was supposed to, perfectly.

Protects but doesn't stick to screen. Falls off

Protects but doesn't stick to screen and falls off. Only the sides stick and they are not very sticky. For the same price and better protective quality you can buy the Invisible Shield, ZAGG, which I went to Verizon to buy after returning my item.

    Buy Zagg instead!! (Samsung S9)

Purchased and cracked on the same day merely from the pressure of application. Once I put it into my screenless otterbox, it popped off.. and would not go back on. I completed the warranty form and have been waiting for a response for months. I just emailed customer service today for an update. With Zagg, you file a claim, pay for shipping and within a few days you have a replacement. Zagg then gives you 60 whole days to return your damaged product!! I will not ever purchase an Armor Edge product. I wasted $40!!

I purchased one of these with my new phone. In less than one week I dropped the phone and it cracked and I had to get it replaced. The protector worked and Best Buy replaced it for free as promised. However, the one that replaced it cracked within a couple weeks. I didn't drop or it hit it. It just cracked. I replaced it again and now less than a week it just pops off. Again no drops no hits. I don't care if Best Buy replaces at no charge. I don't want to have to do this every other week. I've only had my phone 2 months and have had 3 screen protectors. Think I'll go back to using the Zagg brand.

Price and Warranty Not Worth the Issues & Hassle

    Posted .

I purchased my phone from Best Buy after shattering the screen on the last one. Because of this, a screen protector that was installed by Best Buy and that Best Buy replaces for free when it cracks was very appealing. I have had the phone (and screen protector) for less than a year (purchased around May) and have already had to replace the screen protector 3 times. The last time it needed replacing, the screen protector lasted less than a day and cracked without any significant drops or falls. I just had the screen protector replaced this past Saturday and it is already popping off and bubbling. There is not a Best Buy near me and I have spent significant time going there and waiting to get the screen protector replaced. One time, the Best Buy couldn't find the screen protector they had in stock so I had to leave empty-handed after driving 30 minutes to get there. Maybe if I lived down the street from Best Buy, I would feel differently. However, I firmly believe that this screen is not worth the money, time, or hassle it has involved. The Best Buy staff have been very pleasant but this product is garbage. Don't waste your time, money, or energy.

    Steer Away

I originally got this in September of 2018. Now it's March of 2019 and it's had to be replaced 4 times. The first time was because it wasn't cut properly from the manufacturer so the black border was on my screen and not on the edge. I was originally going to get a different screen protector but the sales person highly suggested this one because you can take it back to Best Buy if it cracks and get a replacement instead of going through the manufacturer like other brands. Although it can be replaced in store every time I needed it replaced the sales associate always have to call a manager to find out if what I'm saying is true, that it gets replaced at Best Buy. With every little bump it cracks. I dropped my phone in the cupholder in my car picked it up and there was a crack across the screen protector. My phone fell the other back downward on the floor with a case on it and the front screen protector cracked. My daughter has the same phone and a $5 screen protector from Five Below that's she's had on her phone since June of 2018 with no cracks. Guess where I'm going today Five Below.

Worse protection for edge design I ever used

I'm not writing reviews usually unless they are good. But this time I'm so frustrated! I'm a mature user (I'm 41) and I take very good care of my things. I have edge design for 4 years now. I bought Armor in Aug 28th and I changed 5 of them (October now) At first drop even if is in the house on the carpet the protection will fall off. Doesn't matter the height and it will shatter. If is falling on the concrete it will separate from phone and I had to call insurance to replace my device. I wanted the people to know because this is so so so so poor design. I'm so unhappy with my decision. 5 stars from 5 to Best Buy team from Lacey store. They are always great!
