I was worried about Arrival's 'storyline' but didn't go with my gut feeling...before buying it. I watched with an open mind & this movie took a route that I wished I didn't.... Just not my cup of intellectual SyFy......

I have always been a syfy person, and saw the trailers on the movie. I thought it was a great story like The Martian with Matt Damon ..what would you do in that situation?

Arrival is a great film that explores the depths of language and its place in the event that aliens arrive to Earth.

Highly anticipated the arrival of this movie, storyline has no conclusion, no reason, no answers. Glad I watched, but can find no plot line or reason for visit, or the time loop they introduce.

I was a little disappointed with the overall synopsis of caracter interplay, I suppose it was ok as a chick flick I feel it should have been advertised as such and not as a sci-first adventure.

Very interesting and intelligent. A little hard to follow at points but the twist at the end kind of ties up everything and brings it all into focus.

Every time I watch this movie, I find something I missed the first time around and it just makes it all the more enjoyable and interesting!

I admit I'm a sci-fi geek. This movie shows the way paranoid vs methodical ways of dealing with the unknown, can take over a situation.

Flash backs more annoying then adding anything to the movie's plot, space creatures totally flat & one dimensional. I understand the book is a little better ...

Contact with other creatures from space is wonderful. We have a lot of sci fi movies. And we watch the X Files.

I love scifi movies but this one was just missing something can't put my finger on it. Good actors in the movie but just wasn't what I expected.

I was disappointed, the movie did not live up to the hype. The ending was obviously a set up for a sequel, a very tired move by Hollywood.

Approaches aliens vs humans in an entirely different way - very thoughtful film - well done!
