Good movie if you enjoy sci-fi and puzzles. This has a story line that keeps us interested, the ending is a bit predictable if you pay attention to the details throughout the movie. The movie (overall) is enjoyable weather you pay attention closely or just watch for entertainment purposes.

Arrival is special, it is Sci-Fi that isn't based around massive explosions, crazed alien warriors, or killer robots. Yes, there are aliens, but they aren't what you'd expect. The movie is so much more, its about understanding, and working together, and about the beauty of living life to the fullest. I can't recommend this movie highly enough.

Didn't catch this movie in the theater, but after hearing all of the good word-of-mouth, I decided to just purchase this as a blind buy. Great movie, though some may find it slow. It's a slow burn for sure, and it doesn't end the way you think it will, which made it worth the price for me.

Though this is a complex premise, the movie is well done. Pay attention as you have to connect the dots. The twists are great, and the ending is a real surprise. As always, 4K Ultra is the way to watch and listen to any movie-particularly strong for CGI like this, Martian, etc. Enjoy.

I love Arrival. It's probably my favorite movie of 2016. However, the picture quality leaves a little to be desired. On the blu-ray, blacks are much closer to gray--an effect I don't remember from the theater. I haven't been able to watch the 4k yet, so maybe the issue is resolved there.

Arrival, which aims to touch rather than to excite, looks inward. The film about aliens, it proposes, is in fact a way to look at the human race, the good and the bad in us (mostly the bad). Wasn't as huge a fan of the film as many, but certainly worth an Sci-Fi fans time to view.

I bought this movie without ever seeing it before. It was on sale and I couldn't pass up the bargain. I knew it was critically acclaimed but still....risky haven never seen this before. Wasn't disappointed. Its thought provoking and told well. I'm very glad I purchased it.

Amazing Sci-Fi story, one of the best Sci-Fi movies. But the picture quality is dark, faded, and devoid of fine detail. It’s obviously intended to give off a dream like feeling, but it does go too far in my opinion. Still, if you want a great story, Arrival is a safe bet.

Phenomenal film!!! From cinematography to acting to the score, everything about this movie worked. I was enthralled by the main points in the film. In today's day and age where people don't work together and don't communicate with one another, this film is an important one to watch. Saying anymore will give too much away, just see it!!!

Normally, I am very particular about watching a Sci-Fi movie but this one was very interesting. I liked the mistique and intrigue about what was to happen next. It is a riveting movie that keeps you spellbound. I recommend it to anyone that likes a good mystery in the Sci-Fi theme!

We have become very accustomed to seeing most every "encounter" film as humans vs. aliens. It's nice to see a film that does not follow this line of thought. The underlying plot is what makes this movie good. It may seem confusing at times, but the ending wraps up very nicely.

Saw this previously on a streaming platform and really didn't care for it. Decided to pick it up during the holiday sales and enjoyed it much more during my second viewing

I ove the movie and now is on 4k so it was a no brainer, i had to get it and add to my collection. Visually looks good and audio is great as well if you have the right set up.

This movie put an unique twist on visitation of an alien species. The military angle on this was typical Hollywood. Any species that can come from light years away would certainly be able to handle anything we could put up for defense. However the new twist was very interesting.

It was a very good Movie. I don't want to spoil it for others it wasn't exactly like the 80's version. But it had a lot of suspense and it kept you wondering exactly what they were good to do. It had a lot of good parts with the Scientists trying to interpt the translations with High Tech Computers. It was definitely worth the purchase.

I heard a lot of buzz about Arrival, missed it in the theaters, so I thought I'd check it out when it "arrived" on Blu-ray. Beautiful special effects, sounds great, thought provoking storyline, acting is good. However, be warned that this is NOT a "shoot 'em up" action sci-fi.

Didn't know anything about the movie before watching it. My wife, parents and I all enjoyed it. Dont expect a fast paced movie but its a good story. Only complaint is why it was dark. A lot of the time I had trouble seeing what was going on because it was filmed so dark.

After watching Arrival my feeling that this movie is in the class of 2001: A Space Odyssey as a seminal sci-fi film, along with others like Alien, the original Russian version of Solaris, Fritz Lang's Metropolis and one or two others. The story was fascinating and kept you guessing right up until the end. it will be an instant classic.

Great storyline, plot, and cast. Adams as usual delivers a wholesome superb performance. Love the natural, makeup free look of the cast. Not relying on effects alone is a plus and the script is interesting as it develops.

This movie is a masterpiece. What would really happen if aliens arrived on earth? This film does the best job to answer that question. It is an intriguing movie that has a great plot, superb special effects and great cast. Highly recommended!
