this started a little slow but was good to the end

Watching a arrival, it started off very well and kept you interested in the movie. The movie had no real Direction, it got very deep and then flatlined at the end. Overall, I still Give It two Thumbs Up.

While this movie attempts to grasp the concept of fluidity in time and space, the production shrouds most of the scenes in annoying darkness in a poor attempt to hide that concept from us. Again, I repeat the word - ANNOYING. Only late in the movie when that fluidity is revealed are the scenes actually viewable. But it's too late. One already has had a less than pleasurable experience. 4K production is also poor with a lot of artifacts showing up in the darkness on my 2016 high end LG 4K OLED monitor. The movie has an interesting concept, but the production is poor.

Adams commands the role, unique interpretation of what an actual alien encounter might be, with in-fighting amongst world powers. IMO they wrote themselves into a corner and the ending felt cheap.

The movie is a little bit weird, I don't want to give spoilers but at the end everything ends up at the same point and you have some aliens just saying: oh by the way I think you can see the future

Best Buy was fine. Arrival did not live up to the trailers. It has some great graphics but is an average movie at best. Watchable but wait until it's in the bargain shelves. Not Best Buy's fault.
