Highly anticipated the arrival of this movie, storyline has no conclusion, no reason, no answers. Glad I watched, but can find no plot line or reason for visit, or the time loop they introduce.

I was a little disappointed with the overall synopsis of caracter interplay, I suppose it was ok as a chick flick I feel it should have been advertised as such and not as a sci-first adventure.

I had high expectations for this movie and it fell a bit flat. It was more intellectual like 'Contact' and less like 'Independence Day'. Not an awful movie but not a spectacular one either...

This movie was just all right. It had good actors in it but the plotline was pretty flimsy. No real action not much response I would not recommend it for anyone else to buy

It's a good story that keeps you interested with solid acting, I enjoyed the movie. No half stars available, I give it 3 1/2 stars.

This was a dark science ficton mystery film. It lacked foreward mobility,and too much time was spent on chacter development. The sci fi action adventure buff would not like this movie.

3 stars because I am not yet sure I like it at all. Always been fascinated with this stuff, but it is just plain weird. I need to watch again and make a more knowledgeable decision.

I wanted a movie to "show-off" our huge 4k TV, i should of went with a Mad-Max or Pacific Rim.......this film is purposely "drab", lots of darks and greys,good movie though!

Not sure what all the hype was about. It was an ok movie but not as outstanding as everybody made it out to be. It does show how humans would react in such a situation though.

i wasn't really sure what to expect from this movie as i had not looked much into it. i love a lot of alien movies and thrillers and what not, but this movie was a bit boring.

Arrival looked interesting, but while watching the movie I just fell asleep. The story just put me to zzzzzz. I'll give it another shot and hopefully I don't fall asleep.

I LIKE DIGITAL COPY IN BOX, DONT LIKE GOING ON LINE DOWNLOAD DEAL. I USE BLUERAY PLAYERS THAT PLAY DIGITAL DISK AND STREAM TO TVS.I WILL ONLY BUY DIGITAL IN BOX FROM NOW ON.

Good but different sort of science fiction movie. Don't concentrate on the Aliens so much but on Amy Adams. More of her personal voyage. Could be considered a little dry.

If you liked Close Encounters of the Third Kind, this is your type of movie. You need to pay attention and it is very thought provoking. Not for the casual movie watcher.

I don't know what to say about this movie. /It held my interest because I was looking for something surprising to happen. But it never did. And I didn't understand it.

I enjoyed the movie but really didn't know what to expect. The beginning is the end and the end is the beginning. It was unique among the alien movies I have seen.

This movie played with odd lines running vertically down the screen. I compared to other HdR discs and did not see the same effect. Must be a transfer issue??

Flash backs more annoying then adding anything to the movie's plot, space creatures totally flat & one dimensional. I understand the book is a little better ...

I bought the movie since I didn't see it at the movies. I had hope for more action. It was difficult to figure out present time from the future and past events.

A bit of a let down, but still worth viewing. Close Encounters is still better in my opinion. There were many original ideas that made this film good though.
