OK -- plot could be a bit better. Kinda like all we need to do is hold hands and sing ... and the monsters will love us. If we only knew how to communicate!

Hard to follow, jumped from past/present/future and back. Hard to hear voices with constant background sound. Great price form Best Buy though!

No real action and just plain boring. Very disappointed in this movie. I was being generous with the 3 star rating. It was really like a 2 at the most.

The thing that was the most interesting for me was how the communication gap was bridged. Not the best movie out there but I would still recommend it.

Hey I thought Arrival was going to be better than it was but it wasn't as good as I thought it was.

The movie was OK and the special affects were decent. This is a remake of an older movie and I found the older version more engaging. Wait for Redbox!

An interesting and well-acted movie, but quite confusing. No specific as to why the aliens came nor why the main character was so involved with them.

I love scifi movies but this one was just missing something can't put my finger on it. Good actors in the movie but just wasn't what I expected.

The story is really slow and jumps around with memory flashbacks. This makes it hard to follow. I normally recommend movies but this one can wait

This wasn't a bad movie, and it had some interesting concepts to it, but it just wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be from the previews.

I was disappointed, the movie did not live up to the hype. The ending was obviously a set up for a sequel, a very tired move by Hollywood.

I was expecting a great sci fy movie, like aliens or Prometheus. Arrival had cool special effects, but a slow plot and little if any action.

Intriguing movie and I recommend it. However, I bot the 4K Ultra version thinking I would see incredible color quality and picture quality. Not. This film must have been made in some sort of sepia setting as it is dark and gray throughout making for a very disappointing viewing experience. I sense the producers/directors must have been going for a different look and feel to add mood to the movie. It worked; I'm in a bad mood!

Half of the house thought this was a great movie with some deep thinking. The other half were not as impressed. Was still worth watching.

I could go either way on this one. Good: interesting take on aliens and first contact. Descent cast. Bad: confusing and a little boring.

I saw this at the theater and came away somewhat disappointed. Now granted, I had a lot of things going through my mind while watching and decided to give it another chance when the dvd was released. The overall premise was good and in the beginning your expectations are high for something meaningful. But half way through you are struggling with giving up, or wagering if you should continue in hopes it will improve. It does not.

Just seemed like it was missing something.The story line is a little jumpy some people don't like that.Probably not a watch twice movie

Pretty good science fiction movie, my only complaint is that the movie was a little confusing and you are left wondering what happened.

This movie is not at all what I thought it would be. I understand that the basis was to present a message but could have been betteer.

It was different than I expected, but a little hard to figure out what was going on...kinda dicey. But it was still enjoyable.
