I enjoyed this movie, characters were a good choice. Camera work was great, I did not care for the plot when the military gets involved, but in this case they were helpful. Will I see it again, probably not so it's into storage or loan it out.

Come back !!!! Aliens / UFOs Not your typical alien movie with E.T. But great actors and great picture . Great from start to finish and a good movie to stay up late and watch with family into sci fi Or with the old man (grandpa/ Dad) to tell his conspiracy theories with after haha

This is a very interesting take on the alien invasion genre. This movie has great performances by everyone in the film and while not an action movie per se, it does have a few suspenseful moments. I would recommend giving this movie a watch.

Sometimes I get tired of action movies where everything always blows up followed by massive death and destruction. Arrival is a movie with that potential- well you'll have to see for yourself. It is smart and yes you have to pay attention. And Amy Adams is in it! $19.99 on Blu RAY at Best Buy.

The story is enjoyable and well paced. The film has a somewhat muted stylized look and the UHD bluray only occasionally shows what HDR is capable of doing. I don't consider it a fault of the technology or the directors vision for the film.

You have to pay attention to this one to figure out the twist. Great picture quality and the surround soundtrack really adds to the atmosphere and tension. So much better than your standard "beat 'em up; blow 'em up; shoot 'em up" action adventure. Amy Adams earns the Oscar recognition.

Even without the stunning sound and visuals this film would be great, but add that on top of it and this is among the most beautiful films of the year. 4K adds great depth to the standout cinematography, and with a good sound system, you'll experience audio like no other.

This was an excellent movie in that it was thrilling and held your attention throughout the entire film. Wanted to see it in the theater but the opportunity didn't present itself. However, glad that I purchased Blu-Ray which will allow me to continually enjoy this film - over and over again.

You will either love or hate this one based on your personality. I personally thought this was a great movie, and the audio/video for UHD both get an 8/10. Worth the watch if you like movies that keep your brain and emotions on edge while you try to solve a mystery with the main characters.

I wish that I had seen it in the theater, but the video experience was a close second. Amy Adams' character was exceptional and the movie was deserving of its' Oscar nod. Thankfully, I had not been "spoiled", so the unexpected ending was incredibly powerful. I will watch it again and again.

"Arrival" is a top-notch science fiction movie, and Amy Adams was, hands down, the best actress of the year for her role in it. It was smart, beautifully written and compelling. The movie kept me guessing until the very last scene. It is one of the finest films I have ever seen.

Really enjoyed this movie. Some folks hated the ending, but I was fine with it. Video wise the colors are muted, and the audio has some really "punchy" moments that will jolt your sound system. Not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.

I'm a critical movie reviwer and I think this movie is one that I will watch again and again. It dawns on you as the movie progreses that something else is going on besides the main plot. It was fun to talk about the moive after it was over as we pieced togther at what point we caught on.

The story kept building on it's self and never fell apart. It just got deeper. I loved the acting and the whole story. Only thing that stuck out as an error too me was the filming location vs where they was portrayed to be. But it's all to be make believe anyways so I will over look that.

Not a barn burning sci-fi thriller, but a thought provoking one. It's a bit dark, but overall an interesting watch with excellent video quality

This story is simply revolutionary. Some may not understand the hidden meanings within this film. It takes a deep look at what we - as humans - are... and where we should be heading and what we should become. The acting is spot on and the writing insightful. We are all one. A must see!

I loved the approach of truly working with alien arrivals throughout the world with interest and curiosity rather than immediate response with weapons. Kept suspense going and had plenty of twists and turns to not know what was going to happen throughout the film. Loved the ending!

This movie is a very slow paced thoughtful piece of filmmaking that is one of the best sci-fi films I have seen. If you want explosions stay away if you want a thought provoking mind bending and touching film than purchase this movie.

Always an interesting topic to dance around. This movie discusses it in a different light. It highlights more the story that with today's tech we can decipher alien languages and potentially communicate with them. Not a typical alien movie where the focus is on the Aliens.

Similar to Interstellar, Arrival is not your typical Science Fiction movie. If you make the effort to think about the themes flowing through this movie, you will be rewarded. Both Amy Adams & Jeremy Renner give excellent performances. Forest Whitaker is very good in a supporting role.
