The movie kept me thinking way after it finished. The acting of the main actors is well done and the special effects are great. This movie doesn't have big explosions and action as you would expect from most sci-if movies and the story line does all the heavy lifting.

this to be such a great film.... or to ever see amy adams in an alien flick for that matter (unless you count man of steel.. in which case this one is better)

First off, if you don’t enjoy using your critical thinking skills you might not enjoy this film. Loved this film, the writing, the acting the cinematography. It was so lovely to see the gifted Amy Adams portray a scientist deciphering the alien communications.

I am very picky when it comes to movies, But I am so glad I jumped on board with this one !!

I completely enjoyed the movie but I had to turn the sound up to 100 and turn on the subtitles in English so that I could read the content that I could not hear. It is a very quiet and dark movie. I understand the producer wanted it that way on purpose.

Arrival is one of those unique movies where it makes you think weeks, months, years later. A fantastic look at how linguistics can help bring us together or tear us apart. Amazing acting, fantastic story, and beautifully shot. Highly recommended for anyone.

I saw Arrival on a whim and was thoroughly impressed. The effects were solid and the story spectacular. Without giving anything away, it's the type of movie that makes you rethink about what you've just watched and that provides a truly satisfying movie experience.

I had been meaning to see this film in the theater but never made it. Was shopping at Best Buy and saw it on a display. Very happy I purchased it. The story is very good. Glad to have this part of my movie collection.

I went in to this only knowing it involved an alien first contact, and it was up for a bunch of awards. I recommend viewing under these circumstances, because the way the story unfolds is so well done. I rarely buy movies anymore, but I'm glad I picked this one up.

Arrival is a terrific, emotional sci-fi film that looks great in 4K. It would be nice if the bonus features were on the 4K disc, but I guess you can't have everything.

Keep in mind the film was filmed slightly dark so it may give you issue, for some reason the director wanted to film it kind of hazy filmy so it did tracks a little bit from the film but all in all it is a good movie

This is a movie you're going to want to watch twice. Once you get to the end, you're going to watch it again and see how the whole movie was pointing in that direction.

Many people expected the next Independence Day or Aliens movie when they saw The Arrival. Unfortunately the Aliens in this movie provide the foundation for an amazing story that will have you thinking. Great movie, thought provoking a must watch for anyway.

We loved this movie at the theater and we knew when came out on Blu-Ray it was a must get. The bonus content is great and the movie is one that will stick with you and make you think. The way all great Sci-Fi does.

Good movie, not great. Loved the special effects and the story thread. Could have trimmed 10 minutes to tighten it up a bit. Don't watch if you are expecting high action. More like Close Encounters than Star Wars.

I saw this in the theater and was blown away. I bought it as soon as the Blu Ray came out and watched it again. I have watched this masterpiece 3 times now and still keep finding more meaning. Extremely thought provoking! A worthy addition to my collection.

Arrival is a slow burn sci-fi classic. It's not in your face all out war like some recent titles (Battle LA, Independence Day) but rather is more similar to contact. It's a very well acted film with great visuals.

Great flick. It makes it even better being 4K and catching all the detail the filmmakers intended. Really enjoyed this movie and it warrants repeat viewings, you always catch something new.

I saw this movie at the theater when it first came out. Being a science fiction fan, this one appeared to be right in my wheelhouse. It did not disappoint. It keeps you involved throughout the movie and the ending is a mind blower. I highly recommend this film

Excellent movie that fleshes out the question of how would you communicate with a being from another world. The video is meant to be dark a lot of the time, but the 4K disc is a little too dark (on my non-HDR TV), while the Blu-ray disc is dark but acceptable.
