This is not your normal action packed movie. It leaves you wondering where they going. Not until the end does it the plot message is realized. Make you think about a bigger picture.

Had heard great things about this movie and it did not disappoint! The acting and directing is top notch, and story and how it all comes together is innovative and pulls at your heart strings. Just a fantastic film all around

I knew I wanted to see this movie after all all the chatter I heard when it was in theaters. When Best Buy had it on sale, I jumped at the opportunity and was not disappointed.

I missed the theater showing and been waiting for its DVD release. It's slower than what I expected, but overall a solid movie. I enjoyed it. The storyline will keep your interest.

I wasn't sure what to expect, and I am glad I ended up liking this movie. You have to pay attention to what's going on and is slow in some parts, but I think it was pretty good.

This movie actually grew on me. My first time seeing Arrival was luke warm, but my brother works for a theatre and took me a second time. It took that second time did it for me.

Great sci Fi movie. My wife and I both really enjoyed this, it is really intimate in some of it's storytelling which I always find to be effective with sci Fi.

I had heard mixed reviews on this movie some love it some not. Personally I love SiFi and this movie ranks up with the best of them. Makes you think and it's well written and acted. This is not one to miss for any SiFi fan.

This movie was great. It was truly a unique concept for alien movies. Great cast and great acting.

I liked this movie. Well done & makes you think. But it's very cerebral, so definitely not for everyone. If you want an action packed alien movie, this is definitely not for you.

The story, while synthesized, was both thought provoking and an amazing construct of how the human race might interact with aliens. The actors were fantastic in conveying the movie's theme. Plus the scenes were gripping.

I enjoyed the movie. I was hoping for more action. Kind of reminds of Contact with jodie foster just has a little better ending than that movie. I would still recommend it

Dont buy this movie if you're expecting an action Sci Fi movie. This is a slow burn movie with minimal action and it's more about the science around everything going on with the Aliens. Amy Adams gives a great performance.

I enjoyed this movie, but it did move a little slow. The writing was good and the characters were likable. I do love a good sci-fi movie and this was a pretty decent one.

I found this story to be very thought provoking in that the idea is that learning a certain language could unlock the ability to see future events. Love the casting and found the aliens to be interestingly designed.

Not as good as the reviews. I liked the idea of a linguist cracking the code that would facilitate communication with an alien species. Too many holes in this story. Good acting.

After seeing this movie in the theater I knew I had to watch it again and again. This is not your typical science/fiction flick, it requires an open mind and open eyes, I.e. you have to pay attention. You will be rewarded.

As long as you aren't expecting a lot of action and are content just to watch a movie that is as intelligent as any recent movie that I can remember then you should enjoy this.

Probably one one of the Best Sci-Fi movies I've seen in years. Instead of a shoot it up, it was intellectually challenging, used the concept of time well, and had great cinematic effect without lots of huge explosions.

Great actors and storyline. Gets you thinking hmm, how exactly would we communicate with alien beings... begin with the basic vocabulary and build up to concepts. Must see, oooh and the love story truly was a surprise!
