Even though I read the plot before seeing the movie, I still had to view it twice to fully understand what was happening. This was a nice spin on the genre. If you enjoy "thought provoking" sci-do, you'll enjoy this

This is an excellent example of what Science Fiction can be, and it is rare to see such a good one of that genre come out of a big studio. It is full of great performances, and the story is good from start to finish.

This is a fascinating movie that is intellectually rewarding. However, even with a good performance by Amy Adams, it's hard to get emotionally involved with the characters.

Psychic? Really that's what their going with??? OK I guess but too much of a of the same premise like the movie 'Contact'... figure out what the aliens are telling us...

I really enjoyed this movie! It is not your standard "aliens vs human civilization" movie, but it is a movie that keeps you guessing. I enjoyed it so much I have watched it a few times already!

This was a challenging movie to watch. But once I understood the premise, it was fascinating to see Amy Adams' character still make the decision to make the choice she did.

It seemed to move a little slow in the beginning. Maybe it was just me but, you didn't know what was really happening until the last twenty minutes. I did enjoy this movie.

A smart alien invasion movie. In this movie, the aliens are the saviors and hold the key of knowledge for humankind.

This movie was more for my husband and adult kids than me, but they came away talking about all of the ramifications of the decisions made in this intense movie. Very good if you are into futuristic movies.

Great story with an interesting look at what intelligence could be in alien life. Also has great insights into the basis for our communication between humans and how our fears take over. Definitely worth seeing.

The movie had a twist that took me by surprise. As the movie progressed it became evident as why the Arrival was imminent ..Great movie ..not for everyone but a must see!

I can’t think of many more films that hit me harder emotionally. Don’t let the Sci-Fi cover up fool you. Villeneuve > Nolan all day every day.

I remember going into this movie not knowing what it was about. I left quite amazed. It's this movie, Ex Machina, The Martian and Interstellar that hopefully marks a resurgence in great sci-fi in the years to come.

Arrival is one of the best movies I have seen. Great movie that makes you think about your life and what you would do if given that opportunity/knowledge. Even after the credits roll your mind will still be going.

Wasn't looking forward to this but my 13yr old wanted to watch it I had it figured out about 1/2way through. Good underlying drama Solid premise Not the best acting

I always buy Dvds. Cloud is subject to internet availability, location access, and B'S the companies want to impose on you. If you own it it is yours anytime you want network or not, at home or not, in USA or not.

This was easily one of the best sci-fi movies I have seen. I really enjoyed the part about learning how to communicate with the aliens, and the time it look to interpret their language. overall...money well spent!

This film can be hard to follow for some, but it is a very good story line! Wouldnt recommend for kids or teens as it my be "slow" or hard to understand for them. Includes the UV copy and iTunes Digital Copy.

I'm a fan of science fiction movies and this movie fit in this category as on of the best of 2016. Enjoyed watching it over and will watch it again in a few months.
