The first encounter was good as communication between two life forms evolve but the ending was a surprise and hard to follow.

This was one of my favorite movies of 2016. It's a complex and beautiful experience. I think this one's going to reward multiple viewings, too. Highly recommended!

The movie started very slow, and seemed to drag over character 'setup'; however, as the story unfolded it all tied together.

I enjoyed the movie. It always had you thinking. I did not enjoy how physically dark the movie was. So much detail was lost.

First, this is one of the best extraterrestrial movies ever made. Second, you have some amazing acting coupled with a great storyline. Watch it!

I hate reviews that tell everything about the movie itself so don't expect that here. If you want a review of the movie itself go to metacritic or rotten tomatoes. There are some decent special features, the movie looks good on a 4k set, including the digital download. Sound is good without the lows being overwhelming. If you're interested in the movie it's worth getting the blu-ray or digital download.

This is smart sci-fi flick and well worth the purchase. Great visuals, acting and production values and my second time reviewing it, hence the few details.

Love the language and mystery apect. 'Twist' ending was OK. Not as great a payoff as I hoped. But overall a great movie.

This is a great film that packs a huge emotional punch. It's even harder hitting on a rewatch, knowing what happens and what it means in the context of the film.
