HDR! The color, contrast, and sound are all incredible. If your a follower of the game will understand what the Animus is capable of. Otherwise, for newcomers to the franchise it is very difficult to make people except the ability to go back into an early ancestors life and alter events with a machine. Hopefully a sequel could help clarify some story line and complete the Assassin vs. Templar lineage.

I'm not a huge fan of the games because i find them to be very repetitive, however i gave the movie a chance because the previews looked cool. I was wrong the story was not very fluid it jumps around quite a bit which actually matches the games but the way the did it, you really don't make any real connection to the characters. By the end of the movie you're pretty much like whatever why did i waste my time for a handful of cool fight scenes and a disappointing ending to a subpar story

The action is done well. Plot is ok enough to last for a movie but not starting a movie series.

I went in to this movie not knowing what to expect. I wasn't sure if it would mimic the game or if it would be totally different. The movie starts out ok, but then rapidly declines. By the end of the movie I had no idea what it was about or why I was watching it. The actors were top notch though. The movie was below average at best.

Somewhat like the game... overall fun film to watch especially if you played the game.

It’s worth the pick up… but wait for a sale. For the sale price, this movie was at a great price market for me. I would have happily paid a bit more but not the full cost. I have never played A.C. the game (I’m not a gamer) so I knew nothing of the mythology. I only know what the film introduced to me-I liked it. Michael F tends to be in some cool projects/flicks. I recommend for a fun experience. It’s science fiction so don’t get yourself too worked up about things that might not make since-just seat back and chill out. You’ll enjoy

Probably a halfway decent entertaining action movie (IF you have never played the games). If you've played the games, prepare to be disappointed.

I thought it was a good movie. I feel true "fanboy's" of the Assassin's Creed video game series may not, however. Wasn't exactly like the video game but I feel it respected it enough while still adding a little Hollywood flair. Entertaining, in my opinion, and well worth the sale price for a 4k disc set.

This was a total blind buy for me. Supposedly based on the video game ( which i never played). Pretty good story. Video and sound great. Price was outstanding.

Good family movie. Lots of action. Try it out with your family

Both movies I purchased that were in 4K hdr were great movies.Although I did happen to run into a issue with one 4K movie Assassins Creed it would skip and freeze up in my player and I exchanged quickly for new one and played the movie again and the movie played through flawless.It must have been a bad disk.

For my taste, it was a so-so movie. Visual quality was nice.

I think this film was a good (but not great) starting point for Assassin's Creed in Cinema. Obviously, they could do a lot more with the franchise in the future. Hopefully, we will get a Black Flag version someday.

Movie itself wasn't great but had some scenes that looked great on my oled. Bought it on sale so it was worth it for me.

Movie adaptations of video games have definitely improved in recent years and Assassin's Creed keeps that trend going. The visuals are fantastic creating a fully realized 15th century Spain. While the main character is not from the source material, there are many nods to the games and it feels like part of that world. Definitely worth a look especially if you are a fan of the franchise.

I loved playing the Assassin's Creed series of games. I thought the movie itself is just ok. This is a pretty good UHD title. However, I believe it is a scaled up from 2K rather than mastered directly from a 4K or higher source.

I've never played these video games, but the premise of the movie was interesting. It could be a little confusing with the back and forth, present to past storyline, but if you can follow it, the movie is pretty good.

You need to watch this from the beginning to understand the basis of the storyline. I missed the beginning the first time I saw it. After seeing the beginning the movie made sense and was much more enjoyable.

good technical effects. An effective escape a little hampered by the protagonist only remembering the past when tied to a clumsy lookin rig.
