Great movie with action, superb sound and special effects.

Would recommend also the video game series and the movies

Being a fan of the action/fantasy genre, I purchased this without even reading any reviews from either movie goers or critics. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, since I usually enjoy films the critics don't like. That said, I appreciate a project that action fans like me can watch without having to wade through inappropriate content. This has none of the unwanted garbage, save a couple of colorful metaphors thrown in for measure. Overall, I enjoyed the cast and their interaction with each other throughout the film. The story line moves along without getting bogged down at any point, so it is a film that someone such as myself will enjoy for years to come. And, if the ending is any indication, there could be a sequel in the works, though these don't always come through. I hope it does this time, though. Fun film.

Not a huge fan of the games. Enjoyed the second one but think that is probably also the best one of them. The movie is good. I prefer the parts in the past as those are most like the best parts of the game. The parts that take place in modern day is a little less engaging and where the movie lacks a little in my mind. But it is well done and very entertaining. Some very cool scenes with the assassins fighting.

After all of the negative reviews of this film, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. The action was fantastic. The acting was great. Visually it was astonishing. The only fault, if there is one, is that the story and characters could have used a little more depth. The picture quality is amazing. The audio is perfect. The supplements are quite substantial. Overall, worth adding to your collection.

I'm not a huge fan of the games because i find them to be very repetitive, however i gave the movie a chance because the previews looked cool. I was wrong the story was not very fluid it jumps around quite a bit which actually matches the games but the way the did it, you really don't make any real connection to the characters. By the end of the movie you're pretty much like whatever why did i waste my time for a handful of cool fight scenes and a disappointing ending to a subpar story

Was much better than I was expecting as most of the time, movies based on video games aren't very good.

I didn’t know what the movie whas about. History is interesting so it is kind of confusing but that’s good.

HDR! The color, contrast, and sound are all incredible. If your a follower of the game will understand what the Animus is capable of. Otherwise, for newcomers to the franchise it is very difficult to make people except the ability to go back into an early ancestors life and alter events with a machine. Hopefully a sequel could help clarify some story line and complete the Assassin vs. Templar lineage.

I purchased Assassins Creed 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc without ever seeing the movie in theaters. I'm a Michael Fassbender fan and really enjoyed this one. The movie features some excellent cinemaphotography and the visuals are very nice on this 4K disc. Audio is also top notch presented here with Dolby Atmos which places every sound precise around your living room. Not a great movie but very entertaining.

Based loosely on the video game, Assassin's Creed lacks the creativity needed to tell a great story.

The design of the steelbook is excellent! As for the movie.... it is "ok". You'll probably really only enjoy it (like I did) if you are a gamer. But at the same time, I felt it was lacking. Without spoiling anything, it was lacking what made the games fun; assassinations. There was not enough time spent in 1492 as I would have preferred. I'm hoping they make a second movie and do a better job.

I mainly bought this for two reasons .....1) i'm a fan of Michael Fassbender and 2) I had seen the previews for the film several times (I think it was also shown in IMAX 3D) .I missed seeing it at a theater (it kind of disappeared fast) so i waited for the video to come out. i enjoyed the video; but think i would have preferred seeing the movie in IMAX 3D for all of the special effects.
