Movie itself wasn't great but had some scenes that looked great on my oled. Bought it on sale so it was worth it for me.

Personally, I enjoyed this movie. I played most of the Assassin’s Creed games so I knew the universe and story they were trying to tell. It could be a bit difficult to understand if you haven’t played the games. Worth a watch though if you enjoy the game series.

First off, the 3D in this movie was done very well. I really enjoyed this movie and have been a fan of the games for a while. Making a movie from a game concept is not easy and they did pretty well with this one. You don't have to have played the games to enjoy it.

I haven't played all of the AC games but I still enjoyed this movie. Good action and visuals, but I'm not sure what someone unfamiliar with the games would think. You should know that I love movies and can usually find something I enjoy in most movies I watch...

I never did play the game but I watched the preview and thought it looked like a good action movie. I was right but it was more than that. There was some thinking to it as well and now there getting ready to film the second one. Not a bad way to spend an evening in.

We wanted this movie because we have played all of the games and the trailer looked like it would be fun. It was certainly entertaining, but was a little disjointed. The action sequences didn't make a lot of sense to the family members that hadn't played the game.

I bought this movie due to the popularity and success of the video games and I was not disappointed. While I dont actively play the games, the movie appealed to me nonetheless. Very entertaining!

The visuals are absolutely stunning in this film and the acting is superb. Would the film be more relatable if set in 1700's America or more entertaining if based upon Black Flag? Probably, but that's what sequels are for and this film deserves one or two.

Based of the video game - It's actually not that bad. I saw this in theater and had to buy it for one of my friends that loves the video game. He really enjoyed it. The special effects are pretty sweet and it's set up for a possible sequel - I'm sure of it.

Assassin's Creed was a fun movie, though seemed to disappoint fans of the video game series. I prefer to think of it as a 'prequel' to the first game (which makes me completely ok with the movie, as a fan of the series), though I hear it's supposed to be further on in the timeline. As for the case, I'm not even going to hide it, I love the steelbook editions of movies. The cases usually have absolutely gorgeous artwork, and feel a bit more sturdy overall. This is no exception.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. For me movies based on video games can be really good or really bad so I was skeptical. This one was done well and was enjoyable. Also the steelbook art is definitely the packaging you'll want.

Enjoyed the movie. Worth the time to watch but it was not quite as exciting and entertaining as I expected. If you like the game and story line it is definitely worth watching but might not be as entertaining for anyone with no background in the story.

As a fan of the AC games I was super excited to watch this movie! I think this movie is a solid platform with which to build a franchise. Even for people that are not fans of or have yet to play the AC games, this movie is still very much enjoyable. You're not gonna be out of the loop, it is it's own independent story. It's original characters, but the story remains the same and I loved it. I can't wait for the second movie! Or at least, I'm hoping there is one x)

I am not or have I ever played the game. I was worried that I might needed to be, but as it turns out it was OK. I enjoyed the movie very much even without any backup knowledge. The chase scenes were very cool and the fights were well choreographed.

This does not follow any specific Assassin's Creed game thus far, but opts to tell a new story within the AC universe. Good action, fun ride from beginning to end, and Michael Fassbender is great as usual. Lots of great bonus content as well.

As fan of the video games that this film is based on I already knew what to expect as far as the overall conflict that exists. However, this movie missed some opportunities to actually develop this. There are huge plot holes in this movie, like why are there so many Assasins in the research facility run by the Templars? The the ending hints for a sequel, but the relationship between the main scientist and the main Assasin is not built upon or even explained...especially the last conversation that occurs at the conclusion of the movie. I would not recommend to purchase this movie, but it is mindless entertainment with lots of CGI and hand-to-hand combat. Wait for this to hit Netflix.

I was a little reluctant to purchase, never having seen the movie before and hearing it was inspired by a video game but I actually really enjoyed this movie. It was a great mixture of old world and futuristic visuals. I highly recommend!

Assassin's Creed ("the movie") was unfairly living up to nearly a decade of hype and expectations. In other words, this movie was set up to fail, which is unfair, overall. The movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. In the end, this movie definitely wasn't less than 3 stars, but to give it 4 stars would've been too generous. The SteelBook was on sale for about $15 when I bought it, so that seemed fair given the Blu-Ray + Ultra HD + Digital bundle. In the end, for those who're fans of the series, this is a must have regardless of whether it's good or "bad" (with "bad" being a bad rating for this movie, in my opinion).

This was a good movie for me, but not a great movie. I would have spent more time in the past, as they do in the games. Action sequences made me feel as if I was in the game though. If you like Assassins Creed, you'd appreciate the movie.

Though the movie was not totally great, the DVD was a great price. I love shopping at Best Buy as they always have great deals on various items. They have DVDs quickly after the movie is out for sale. Vintage cds are found there as well.
