I had my doubts before watching Assassin's Creed but to my surprise this movie was well done and not only looked and felt liked the game it had a pretty good story line and was easy to follow. Gamers and non gamers will like this movie.

Assassin's Creed is a truly one-of-a-kind film that posits some lofty, thought-provoking ideas while simultaneously providing a mesmerizing, high-octane action experience the likes of which I guarantee you haven't seen before. If you like action movies, parkour, top-notch stuntwork, or thought-provoking stories, then I guarantee the film is worth at least one watch, and I honestly think it's good enough that you'll want to watch it again.

For a minute I was going to review the game, although rather monotonous and run away titles, I think they made like 19 games or so, anyways, the scenery is different, but it's all the same. I didn't watch this movie, don't believe in those fake people pretending like so much of the world... sit back and watch the movie.

So I've played all off the Assassin's Creed video games, except for the arcade/2d platformers. All I can say is, it's about time this game series got a movie. It's a decent game to movie. Good story. Great lead actor. Great sets.

I thought the movie could have been just a smidge better but I did love it. They bring in all the elements, some like the game and some a little different. There is just too much to put into one movie I think and it went by too fast.

The science fiction concept was an interesting change in the genre of fantasy . However , I had a problem with the plotting of the movie making Muslims look like Saints and Knights Templar look like Sadistic evil masochists.

Assassin's Creed was a very interesting movie, good plot and it kept me interested throughout the movie. I understand that Assassins move in the dark but a lot of the movie was too dark to see what was going on, the only drawback.

I loved playing the Assassin's Creed series of games. I thought the movie itself is just ok. This is a pretty good UHD title. However, I believe it is a scaled up from 2K rather than mastered directly from a 4K or higher source.

Assassin's Creed wasn't just a movie to make gamers happy, it's a good movie for someone like me that hasn't played the game. Great characters and very well written movie. Can't wait to see what they do next with this franchise !!

I have loved the game series, so I had to get the movie. It didn't do that much for me, but allow me to have a complete collection. Now, that they laid the ground-work. I would love to see them do another movie, but full throttle.

A first looking at the movie and seeing the trailer you would not have thought that this would be a great movie. Most times when they transition in video game to the big screen it Bonds in the theater. However Assassin's Creed is definitely a must-watch popcorn Thriller and it's a movie you can't take your eyes off of. I've never played the game Assassin's Creed but if is anything that resembles the movie I'll definitely purchase the game.

I've never played these video games, but the premise of the movie was interesting. It could be a little confusing with the back and forth, present to past storyline, but if you can follow it, the movie is pretty good.

You need to watch this from the beginning to understand the basis of the storyline. I missed the beginning the first time I saw it. After seeing the beginning the movie made sense and was much more enjoyable.

We rented this at redbox and bought it shortly afterwards in 3D. I have a PS4 to play on our 3D TV, and this movie is an excellent reason to watch in 3D. The plot of the movie is very good, and follows similar themes as the video games but not any of the games. The effects are very good, and the Animus adaptation is very cool in the movie. Michael Fassbender is quickly becoming one of my favorite action stars!

If you follow the game, you may find some differences in the story. It has subtitles that may be distracting to the visuals, but without them the story would be hard to follow. Well shot and well choreographed.

Honestly I'm a big assasins creed fan and played all the video games this review is bias, to an extent. Speaking subjectively, if you're a fan, go out there and buy this movie. One of the better video game movies that exist and deepens the lore of assasins creed. Speaking objectively, the story could've used a little more work, the action is alright, parkour realistic except for a few parts, and honestly at the price it is today ( I think about 5 bucks on sale) it's pretty worth it for action, historical fans.

It is very awesome visually, however the story is so convoluted it makes The Da Vinci Code look like a high school student film . If it was not for the 3D CGI special effects, I would be tempted to say pass on this.

I enjoyed this movie, very unique and different, a little hard to follow sometimes but once you catch up, it's pretty cool. Blu-ray is very high quality in both audio and video plus a few good extras.

I'm glad I'm not a gamer because that's how I went into this movie head on. That's how I approach most movies that have some kind of literature before being adapted to film. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
