The game is to have a more Superior story but then again the medium is very different from a movie. That said it's a very fun and entertaining ride. If you're a fan of the franchise you will like me enjoy it.

Is it me or does this movie have the excitement of the middle ages wrapped up in new age technical revolution? The plot was well presented and was thicker than a concrete wall. A new Knights Templar twist gives it a different direction than that of the past and, therefore, you are wondering if they were good or evil. Right or wrong. Another movie where the cast is near perfect to the characters. Well done!

This was a good movie that ventured into future technology as well as helping to add a more valid storyline to the very popular video game on both PS4 and XBOX ONE. Really enjoyed many of the fight sequences!

Let's see. 'Executed' killer wakes up in a lab and has 500-year-old 'DNA memories' uploaded to his brain. He's an iteration of a long line of assasins, bound to protect an apple-sized object containing Original Sin and keep it away from the Templars, who want to release the contents of the apple and turn everybody into obedient religious zombies. After lots of CGI violence and gore, the Assasin wins and the Templars get back in their cars and go home, ready for a sequel if and when. This movie is better than many computer-game transmogrifications to film, but only a little.

Great presentation on blu-ray with audio and video. A very clean, crisp, and robust presentation. Fassbender was great as usual in his role. It was very entertaining could it have better yes, but it bad nope.

I never played the video game so I can't comment on it's accuracy. The movie itself was entertaining and had a lot of action. I enjoyed it. The ending left room for a Part 2 to be filmed.

Like most game based movies, it had plenty of action and enough back story to allow non gamers to enjoy as well. It might even inspire some to try playing the AC games. Great action picture and sound quality.

good technical effects. An effective escape a little hampered by the protagonist only remembering the past when tied to a clumsy lookin rig.

Watched in 3D and made for some interesting scenes. Michael Fastbender was really good. Seems like a very successful game name, was capitalized to make a movie. Long lead up up to anything resembling game.

I liked the movie a lot but there were many points in the movie that left me wanting more. The ending seemed so rushed. Loved the build up and the way it connected in with the storyline of the game.

I've been an Assassin's Creed fan for years. And I admit I had mixed feelings about this movie. Pros: The acting was good, Compared to other video game movies. The action scenes were well done. Cons: The story in the present day was boring. They didn't explore the past setting enough and there was next to no character development for the characters in that time period. I mean you can tell Ubisoft was trying to make a movie and it wasn't an obvious cash in. So, if you like the Assassin's Creed franchise, you might like this movie. If you're not, I'd give it a skip

i never spent any time learning about the franchise, so i came into this cold, so i am unaware of things left out or altered, i liked the story it told, and the concept of experiencing our DNA history.

I've seen mixed reviews on Assassins Creed - both for the movie itself and the 3d aspect. I thoroughly enjoyed both and hope a sequel is still being entertained despite its struggles at the box office.

I saw this in the theater and thought it would make a great 4K DVD for my new LG OLED TV. It was OK. The fight and vista scenes were better in the theater. Don't get me wrong; it was good, just not great. The movie itself is pretty good, too. I enjoyed the medieval scenes better than the modern day ones. The colors were very nice, but the gold tint to many of the scenes took away from what should've been vibrant colors; which is what I was hoping to see. Oh well, I do recommend watching this in 4k; it is good, just not the 4K reference material I was hoping for.

Finally! A movie based on a game that is actually good! The movie doesn’t follow the storyline of any of the games, but definitely follows the concept of the games. I was NOT disappointed!!!

Assassin's Creed is a good origin story, if a little predictable. The packaging is standard, and the quality of the special features are above-average. Overall, it's worth a solid 4-Star rating.

I am not sure if it would make a lot of sense to a person new to the series. But for someone that played the game, it feels like you are watching the game. The story is okay, but the action is great.

As the title suggests, it's not a bad movie nor is it epic. I love Micheal Fassbender as an actor but in this, the storyline is blah. This usually happens when a video game is made into a movie.

This movie is better than the reviews. Going in, I didn't expect much. I knew the FX would be decent but... However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a good action movie. Great bluray quality.
