this was a blind buy for me, as i had not yet watched the movie prior to purchasing this item. i thought it would be a nice addition to my steelbook collection, so i purchased it. i haven't played the games, so i can't make any comparisons with them to the movie. i thought the movie was ok... very forgettable. i watched the blu-ray version about a month ago and now i don't recall much about the movie. the steelbook artwork is just ok as well. pretty plain in my opinion and the steelbook package came dented.

The movie was ok. It tried very hard to stay working the assassins universe and follow the tale of chasing mystical objects. A good watch if your a fan of the game series.

Similar to the video game. I think they casted really good actors for each role. Just wish the ending was better. I guess it will be okay when a follow up movie comes out.

It's disposable entertainment. It's pretty much just as digestible as any of Marvel's movies. In short, watch it to kill time, not for something with any real substance.

I bought this movie because I missed it in theaters, and as a big fan of both the game series and Michael Fassbender wanted to see it and put it in my collection. Assassin's Creed isn't a bad movie, but it's a forgettable one. The Spanish-Inquisition era scenes look great, but are shot like a music video. The plot is somewhat bland, and the acting is competent but not exceptional. It's worth a watch if you're a fan, but not worth a full video purchase. Wait until you can see it for free on TV.

I am huge fan of the Assassins Creed games and was really excited for this movie to come out. After seeing it, I wonder whether a casual movie viewer who did not play the games would really "get it". The movie has a great cast and some tremendous action that is a delight for fans of the games. If no sequels are made then it is waste of a story.

This is a great movie, don't listen to the negative.

This amazed me on how good it was. A lot of people gave it a thumbs down but if you go into this with your brain cut off and just watch the film you’ll enjoy it.

Well it's not bad seen a lot worse think that there are a few gaps in the film but generally ok. Lends itself for further installments, could be better than the first

This is a fun movie. Very cool to see the universe of the games on screen. Definitely worth watching for any fans of Assassins Creed

The game is what brought me here and I enjoyed it. Could it really spin a series I don't think so but was a bit of a thrill ride that makes you want to read up more.

Great movie, would have preferred a more direct, character driven tie in to the games, but they were still great characters, even if not the same nes we know and love

I am a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise and I feel that this movie was very well done! I am shocked that the reviews for it we so negative because it does exactly what the games represent. Sometimes when games become movies there is a lot lost in story however I felt this movie has a great story and was very well done.

I wanted a hard copy of this movie because I liked it, and I would have to pay for some special subscription on hulu. However my pc doesn't use blu-ray but our tv does so this is very useful worked great was worth it.

Video game movies seem to always have a problem translating from game to movie but this one does a great job! I liked the arc of the movie and it did not disappoint.

This movie was good and I think since it came from a game, it didn't really disappoint. However, I do feel that it needed some more time to fully develop the story.

I've been a huge fan of the assassin s creed game series, so I was excited except cautiously when news of live action movie broke. Unfortunately and not surprisingly, they botched it just like with 99% of video game movie adaptation. The movie had silly action scenes and was just boring after all. I just bought for the nice looking steel book case for collection while on sale since I have the steelbooks for the games. I would say this is for fans only

The movie was really good. It had an interesting story, good action and special effects. I never played the game so I cannot compare the two But I enjoyed the film

I am not a game player so I didn't know what to expect on this movie. I did take a look at the movie preview and it looked good. Great action and special effects.
