This film is about a top robot scientist [Dr, Tenma], who copes and mourns with death of his son Toby by building a high-tech robot to replace Toby I find "Astro Boy" very well made. It has got an engaging and exciting plot with plenty of action. There are also plenty of emotional elements to touch the human heart. The leading character, Toby, is well portrayed. he is such a good boy with a sad background. It is easy to sympathize with his situation, which can make some viewers connect with him and hence be engaged by the story. The visuals are great as the sets are vibrantly composed, making every scene a joy to watch. "Astro Boy" is a fun film to watch. Both kids and adults will all be entertained by it!

This is a great movie! Very entertaining for kids and adults. I used to watch the original series back in the days and the movie pretty much stick to the original series, my kids also liked it.

on my daughters wish list for the holidays. she loves this movie.

I am sure there are mixed reviews about this one online. For what it's worth it is a well made, complete story with several elements that will allow for personal reflection and growth, go watch it if you are reading this!

Awesome movie, my son loved it and it had a happy ending. He watches the movie over and over since he really likes it.

Fun family movie, great for all ages. You will laugh and you will cry, but in the end a feel good movie.

I can't give a true review for the DVD or Blu-Ray, so I gave the Extras 3 stars. But I can say, that I'm an Anime fan, and I've always had known about the Character Astro-Boy, and seen a few episodes of the show, but I was never a huge fanatic for it. So when I heard it was gonna be a movie, I didn't think much of it, rather then just, "Hey, it looks pretty good. Could work." I did see the movie, and I really enjoyed it. Despite it's flaws, and the fact that it was a box office bomb,(Sadly) it's a very entertaining flick, good for the kids, or the child at heart. I think Astro fans will enjoy it, with a fair bit of nitpicking, like all true fans do. Give the movie a try, I think you'll enjoy it. It's got the right amount of laughs, action and heart to get the kids and parents cheering!

This movie is a good film for kids and their parents. My kids love it, and I found it pretty entertaining as well. It deviates from the established story, but it does this because its only two hours long. By itself this story is very good and works for a movie presentation. The Blu-Ray transfer is high quality which is to be expected for a CGI production, but the menus and extras are also well done so that's a plus. It has a True-HD track that is 5.1 and with a good system provides a lot of detail. The only drawback is the way the story deviates from the established history.

This is a great update of the old cartoon series... It is wholesome for the whole family and there are some great lessons...

Great movie! My kids loved it! On Blu-Ray, looks better than at the theater. Voice talent was excellent! Note: some scenes may be intense for very young kids.

Starts with the cause for creating Astroboy. The story starts with a floating city. Then we find out that more people (& robots) live on the earth.

Excellent animation film on Blu Ray, Can't wait to see how IMAGI films will do with Gatchaman!!

This movie is enjoyable for everyone of all ages. Good graphics, and good story. A must have for movie watchers!
