I know they are a lil on the expensive side but, I must say the audio the surround sound the foot steps in the direction clear as day I wouldn’t purchase another headset besides this one..the mix perfect either turn the audio up or 50/50 or chat and you still hear everything... perfectly blended with the mix.

Very good headset for comp gaming, easily can hear footsteps in cod miles away (not exaggerating either) excellent headset all around!

I have owned everything g from the A10,A20 and the Previous A40 TR. Astro is always on point with the sound coming out of their headsets. This new version of the A40 TR is simply a fantastic upgrade from the previous version. The sound are more crisp and the amp mixer is easier to use I feel. Astro never fails, get this headset you won’t be disappointed.

Sounds better than real life and the mix amp is an amazing feature.

Been using for 6 months without issue. These in my opinion are better than the wireless version, since I purchased those as well but returned them. I have tried countless headphones and these so far have been my favorite. You can hear yourself talk in the headset which is very important!

There is no other headset I would could ever recommend. The Astro brand is not only top tier. But at the top of the list.

My 2nd pair I have one for my Xbox series x and I have one for my ps5 both are amazing. Super comfortable even after long gaming sessions. Only wish is support for external mic other then that they are amazing

Unfortunately my second set and just wanted to get a fresh pair of Astro's. The plasticy build to this headset has a good chance to make a squeaking sound in either of the headphones. This is due to the materials rubbing as they adjust but the consistent noise was too much for me. Went and returned for A50's. Due to a wonderful experience with previous A40's I'll have to still vote this as a solid headset.

A really good headset for the price. You need to buy an adapter to use with PS5 if you want to use the Amp also but if you don’t need the amp it does the PS5 3D audio very nicely. Wearing for more then 4 hours does start to make the ears sore but once taken off for a little bit fixes that issues. My favorite Astro headphones.

Excellent Headset For FPS Games, Comfort And Quality

This headset has Fiber Optic Audio it is a Game changer if you're PC Motherboard supports it. It offers insane quality.

I can't believe I didn't get this sooner. I got the a50s a while ago and hated them so I stuck to Turtle Beach instead. I got these to stream and they're amazing. Using the mixamp gives me so much control and advantage over the competition. I wish the ear cups were not cloth though

Astro a40s are a great headset they work great and have always been my fav headset. Would recommend!

Head phones are awesome when you learn to work them. It takes adjusting to get use to but eventually they’ll workout. I still think the sound quality on the turtle beaches Gen 2 700’s are better out the box. But these are needed if you decide to want to stream and use discord etc.

After trying the AstroA50 and the steelseries wireless and wired, I decided to give these a try. They have the perfect mix of game and party chat and the amount you can actually change and tweak it is amazing. If you’re looking for an amazing headset and dont care about the long cord, then this is the headset for you.

I must say, this headset is untouchable. Great overall sound, craft to perfection and has so many audio features. In my opinion A Must Have In Your Collection!
