When you first take these out of the box, they appear bulky but once you put them on you’ll find they are quite comfortable. They actually sound really good and allow you to become immersed in whatever game you are playing. As someone who is also a PC gamer I love how they work just as well for PC. You will want to have the Xbox Wireless adapter as that does allow you to use the Mixamp wirelessly just like you would on an Xbox console. Pros Excellent Sound Quality Lightweight and Comfortable Volume, Mute, and Chat Mix all within reach Adapter fits snugly; looks good on any Xbox controller Wireless also works with PC (provided you have Xbox Wireless Adapter) Includes code for Dolby Atmos app Mic can be swapped left/right Cons: Included cable can be a bit short Overall, I recommend these if you are a gamer who uses an Xbox controller. They sound great, are extremely lightweight, and work for PC, which is a huge plus for me.

This headset is amazing and very easy to set up. Just plug and play. I have the generation 1 Astro a50 and these are a little bit of a downgrade just because they aren’t wireless, besides that this headset rock. Very happy with my purchase.

Love these! They're open back headphones so the soundstage sounds "full". They are also very light compared to my a10's. And I like that they are wired with the m80, easy to control and no batteries!

This is our 4th set of Astro headsets. The A40 is the best bang for the buck you can get on gaming headsets. We love Astro and will continue using them.

The sound on this headset is good, but the MixAmp controller really drags down the Xbox controller's battery and disconnects often.

I bought these for my 16year old for his birthday. Great quality and sound. Comfortable, too. The metal wiring cover on the headband makes them very durable, which was our biggest concern. Real nice for the price!

Great headphone system, although the mic breaks down after about a year which is no problem when you have total tech…

A pretty good headset, switched to these after my turtle beach elite pro 2's failed, I already used the astro tr mixamp pro so I haven't tried the controller mounted mixamp

I like them, just not that I’m not sure if it’s my controller or the headphones but my controllers dies every now and then. Maybe it’ll work better on a wired controller since I use a wireless one

Decent. Plug into Xbox controllers is convenient. Second cord for PC is kinda short but fine for a laptop. Connector piece between the ear cuffs kind of hurts top of head after gaming for a couple hours.

These will be given to my grandson for Xmas. He has always used Turtle Beach, but they do not hold up as well as they used to. We researched the Astro and chose these.

Sound is good, love the MixAmp... out of 5 headphones I own these are the only ones that hurt. I hate them, but at $150 I guess I'll continue wearing them.

Bought this for my son, he said it didn't work well with his streaming set up. We all know Astro is awsome so I'm guessing this headset is fine.

Not worth the money, I mean real good quality but not to a point that you have to spend this much. $100 pair would do just fine.

Definitely One Of The Better Gaming Headsets

DESCRIPTION: Astro is one of the better names in gaming and this headset is definitely proof of that. It has a microphone for chat and the sound is so clear you can hear things creeping up on you, making you aware of the pending doom or the glory of winning. It makes for quite the experience, putting you right in the game! The headset is very well built with cloth covered padding surrounding your ears with plenty of space and not crowding them inside the padding. This headset feels super comfortable when I have them on and have them adjusted properly. MixAmp – This device hooks up to your Xbox ONE Controller. This has a mute button, volume control, balance between gaming and voice control and an EQ button. The EQ has 3 presets. If you are using this headset on a PC you can change and customize these to your own liking. The microphone is removable and can be switched to the left or right side, depending on your preference. Just swap the outside magnetic ear covers. RECOMMENDATION: This is definitely one of the better quality sound headsets that I have had and they are just so comfortable that you may forget that you even have them on, so don’t walk away without hanging them up first. They work great with Xbox ONE, as well as with your PC. After comparing some other brand names with this headset, I would take these over any of them that I have tried, just because of comfort, sound and overall convenience. Sound is clear and crisp and the bass is very good when listening to music alone.
