    Awesome for XBOX

This is really a well made headset and mixamp for XBOX! The sound is really clear, also love where you have the mute button so easily accessible this way you dont accidentally say something during the gaming session. Just to be clear the A40 works with anything, pc, laptop, xbox, switch, ps4 BUT if you get it with the mixamp M80 it is for the XBOX or PS4 depending on which you select. If you decide to use it for PC use you are able to buy another mixamp and use it for PC as well... This is important to mention as I play both PC and Xbox and this is awesome for my XBOX but if I want to use it for my PC since I got the MixAMp M80 it requires a little bit more to work well. Nevertheless if your a streamer or a serious gamer this is a great product that will last you for a long time. Made very well and most importantly sounds great!

I’ve never owned an expensive gaming headset before I’ve only used headsets with in the 40-60 dollar range. I mostly play Xbox one online. I can say that with these headphones I can hear things I never heard before. I hear cars honking in the distance when playing gta or machine guns from multiple players when playing divison 2. I really like the sound. I started speaking with my friend online and I can hear him very clear while playing I just had to make adjustments with the amplifier attachment. The headset is pretty big even bigger than my regular headset I use to play music. The pads around the ear gets pretty warm if you wear them long enough, but it’s no big deal for me. Of course your controller battery will drain faster due to the headset. I totally recommend these headset. I will enjoy it with my friends every time I play. I like the ease of use and look of the headset it makes my gameplay a lot better now I look forward to socializing online

    Great headset with some flaws

I recently purchased this headset along with the Steelseries Arctis 9x for my Xbox and wanted to see how they compared. I hadn’t seen a review comparing these two headsets anywhere and the closest I could find was a review comparing with the A50. I decided that I would try them out for myself. After purchasing and playing with the Steelseries for a few days, I tried the A40s and was not very impressed. The comfort that I had heard so much about was there but the sound of the game was not anywhere near the Steelseries headset. The fabric ear cups definitely make the headset comfortable but allow a lot of outside noise in. The headset itself was not as loud as I had anticipated, even at full volume. The bass was alright but it would have been better had there been a bit more noise isolation on the headset itself. When playing games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield, I could hear footsteps, but the sound of things happening outside the headset caused the footsteps to not be as clear as they could be. The headset comfort is amazing but seems to not give as secure of a fit on your head when wearing them. The headset does not squeeze my head when I have it on, making it very comfortable, but this causes it to slide on my head when I lean forward or backward. 4 out of 5 because the audio was not near what I had anticipated from reviews and such but the comfort factor was really nice. I would recommend the Steelseries Arctis 9X over any pair of Astro headsets, especially since they are the same price if not cheaper than the A40 and A50 headsets.

Always wanted to go out the cheap way with headphones bc I felt they would just stop working anyway. But I will never go that route again. The comfort of these headphones are perfect! Quality of sound is excellent on both ends, where you don't hear everything going on in my background. Even the clarity of my voice was noticeable to my online friends. I am still able to hear what's going on in my house without losing the quality of sound from game play especially since my choice of games are shooting games. Having all the buttons I need at my fingertips makes it super easy during game play. It also came with the Dolby app for 2yrs so even that was a plus.

In my opinion, these are the absolute worst headphones for the price. Seriously guys don’t get these. Hyper x is way better than these. I so regret getting these and wish that I could return them. Biggest waste of money. Also my mic makes a constant buzzing noise that I can’t hear but the people I play with can.

I was impressed when I unboxed this because of its sleek look, and sturdy design. it's a tad bulkier/heavier than other headsets I have used or seen. However once on my head, the weight wasn't even an issue, the ear muffs along with the sound quality totally immerse you into the game which is what I desire in my gaming experience. The setup is literally plug and play, you simply have one cable that you have to deal with and the amp control hooks right onto the controller. Could not be easier! Would absolutely recommend this headset if you're looking to immerse yourself in your gaming even further.

    Best Gaming Headset

This is by far the best gaming headset I've ever owned. I've got a Plantronics 500 series and an LG headset right now as well and while they are both lower priced than these Astros... they just don't compare at all. The buttons that attach to the controller are invaluable. We've all been there where one game's volume is so loud it overrides the voices of your friends or vice versa and now you can instantly adjust on the fly. Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time as well. Sound quality is top notch for a headset in this price range.

200$ and they have the most sensitive cord ever. You barely move the cord and it cuts off one side of the headset. Not only that it has problematic detecting half of the sound. Definitely not worth 200$

The Astro A40 TR has become my favorite gaming headset. I have used many over ear headsets and this one is the most comfortable for extended use. It is still comfortable after hours of wearing. The sound quality is well balanced and clear. I would highly recommend it.
