Very good headset. Fits nice and volume level is decent. Only giving it 4 stars because the setup is annoying.

These gaming headphones are pretty on point in all aspects. Sound quality is pretty great with some great midrange and low lows that works especially well with Atmos Audio movies and games. The microphone being removable and sounding full on other players’ end is super. The spatial separation and directional sound is premium on this set. I can really dial in direction and distance in game and it helps greatly. The Pro mixer is very convenient and has some built in sound mixes that you can adjust and set. Overall I am loving these headphones and would recommend them.

One of the best headsets I have purchased. The mixer makes it so easy to isolate one sound from another and they are pretty comfortable. Definitely recommend

Pretty good product, this is the 2nd one i bought.i ahve the prior generation that are white. They both just seem to lose the abikity to dock and you have to use the cable to charge them. It is the wnd set that has the same problemm i have above average size head , this is a bot pricy so i would not expect that. Also it xan jave periods of frequent disconnection. Whsn it works it works so well and rhey are so anazingly comfortable they are hard to replace.

First of all, if you are a owner of previous gen of the a40, and want to upgrade, I don't recommend. I owned a Astro A40 +MixAmp from 2014 and decided to upgrade as they where aging. However the difference between both of them won't be amazing so don't expect. HOWEVER, these headphones are top tier quality, the fact that the old astros sound almost as good, shows how future proof this product is. If you are a new user, you will love this headset. Great audio, and the mixAmp pro is super convinient. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new gaming headset.

The mixamp from 2019 that had a firmware update dated around mid-2020 is still being shipped with outdated firmware. For the price point of $250, I would expect it to be unboxed in a plug and play capacity. That is not the case. So no big deal, I just need to update the firmware myself. That should be easy, right? Wrong. I've tried to update the firmware. I've tried two computers, Mac and windows, 3 versions of the Astro Command Center (the windows website version, the mac website version, and the microsoft store version), automatic updates, manual updates, scouring the internet for any grain of advice that could assist, and contacting Astro/Logitech support. Nothing works. Logitech has ignored requests for support. The AstroGaming reddit is littered with people like myself searching for answers and support. All of which are still unanswered. The verified AstroGaming user spews the same nonsense and provides zero help. The main gist of it all seems to be spend your money elsewhere for an XBox headset.

Best sound quality I've heard in headphones or external speakers obviously. The details in games and music are very vivid. Been hearing things I've never heard before in Halo: MCC, like hearing the particles of sand/insulation crumbling down a building. Can hear footsteps well and enemies reloading with ease. I can also play hi fidelity music from my phone by inputting aux into the mix amp. Aux input is able to play back 16-bit music into the A40 headset. It sounds so detailed, I use it for music from my smartphone when I'm not gaming.

This Astro headset has incredible sound - however unlike the Arctic Pros witless, this headset doesn’t have the easy line out and line in ports like the steel series does. That was enough for me to return it. I thought I could utilize the “stream port” for my GOXLR needs but ultimately wasn’t what I needed. However as far as sound quality if you don’t need those features, it’s incredible. Probably the best sounding headset I ever had.
