Comfortable, mic cuts out unless you put it in stream mode. Audio cable is too short IMO

My brother said this is the best headset for xbox one. The sound is great and clear. It is also Very comfortable and looks really cool!

I love to wear these whenever I’m playing my Xbox and when watching an action movie. Sound quality is great and very comfortable.

I almost bought a set of Steel Series but choose these instead and am very happy! The sound quality is very good. The comfort of these go for hours.

I’ve owned nothing but turtle beach for the Xbox 360 and Xbox one. Just rencently had the stealth 700s. But I couldn’t adjust game and voice that well. It was all or nothing. I picked up these bad boys and man what a difference. It’s night a day. The mix amp makes it so much easier to control game or voice volume. Plus being able to customize the sound and how my mic picks up my voice.

I’ve been an Astro fan for years. My first gen a50’s died, so I got these. Fit and finish is great. Sound quality is really good and the mixamp works well. I don’t love that I have to download an app and update drivers to work on usb audio, even though it says it’s for the series x lol. That caused a headache for the longest time. They still include an optical cable, which the series x doesn’t have, and that seems wasteful. Why they don’t update the drivers and remove the cable for specific series x applications, I don’t know. Overall a decent headset, but I still hate using their programs to interact with the mixamp on a computer.

First off, the headphone itself is great. The moment you start touching upon the software(For use on the Computer) is where it gets a bit complicated. Even though I manage to figure it all out, and adding in the cool dolby atmos software(Windows store) for additional few dollars. Though once the setup has been done and you figure everything else, it is a a great pack overall. The volume and the mixamp are really nice to have but you are here only to game and not so much for streaming and such. Then I say look elsewhere or just get the headset itself. Overall for me, I think it is a good product if you have the time and the patients to figure things out, but it is not the most friendliest when it comes to setting it up and get the full capabilities of this set.

This is my second Astro headset. Previously I had to Astro a 40s with the mixamp 80. Its was a great headset with one tiny flaw I wish is was louder. Well this new headset with the mixamp pro fixed this. This headset gets so loud I don’t turn it all the way up. I have a big head and this headset never hurts my head after gaming for hours. Unlike wireless headsets you’ll never have a problem with the internal battery. Do yourself a favor and grab a pair you won’t regret it. Their definitely worth the money.

I have been a long time Astro user and recently decided to give my old A40 TR and MixAmp to my son. I purchased an Arctis 7 Pro w/ DAC and thought I would try something new. It was awful. The software was clunky and the headset doesn't work for big heads. I ended up returning it for the new Astro A40 TR w/ MixAmp and they are even better than the old ones! THe new Mixamp is wonderful and the hardware switches make it easier to stay in PC Mode. These are the most comfortable headsets I have ever worn. I am an Astro fan for life now.

I have a really soft voice and most headphones struggle to pick up my voice, this is the first pair that people can hear me talk! Also the sound quality is the best ever, i am able to hear footsteps and tell where shots are coming from in games.

What can i say the sound is great with the amp. Your ears do not over heat like some high end headset. But one LITTLE THING STOP ME FROM GIVING IT 5 STAR. They should have it on the box in big letters saying MIC DOES NOT WORK WHILE CONNECT TO THE MIXER.(Without a 4 pole/3 black lines trrs aux cable at least from what i seen on YouTube waiting in the cable)

Best headset for PC and Xbox gaming. Has 4 mode options, which are fully customizable in the Astro Command Center application. If you’re into hardcore gaming then this is your headset. Only downside is the price.

Out of all the headsets I’ve owned, the A40 TR’s with the mix amp are by far the best sounding and most comfortable headset I’ve used

Great headset. Sound quality is great and very comfortable. Padding allows me to wear for long periods of time.

The headset is great, the only thing I found a bit annoying is the clamping power of the headset isn’t much. When I lean forward to pick something up or plug something into my pc they will fall right off my head, other than this the sound they provide is untouched by any headphones I have used on Xbox or pc and if you have the means this pair with the mix amp is 100% worth the extra money for the easy mixing of teammates to game volume!
