The headset is great, the only thing I found a bit annoying is the clamping power of the headset isn’t much. When I lean forward to pick something up or plug something into my pc they will fall right off my head, other than this the sound they provide is untouched by any headphones I have used on Xbox or pc and if you have the means this pair with the mix amp is 100% worth the extra money for the easy mixing of teammates to game volume!

Out of all the headsets I’ve owned, the A40 TR’s with the mix amp are by far the best sounding and most comfortable headset I’ve used

Bought my Astro headphones with Mixamp over 2 years ago and they still sound brand new, no sound distortion like other brands for the same price. Definitely worth investing in Astros if you don’t have a pair yet.

Loved on the quality of sound in the xbox series x, only need to get is just an adapter to get the sound to work. Same adapter that you get for the PS5 to get the sound, you will need that to get it working.

This is the best headset that I have ever used. I have owned turtle beaches, arctis, the Gen2, 3, and 4 A50s, and the Gen3 A40s with the M80 and MixAmp pro. These beat all of them. I purchased the Gen4 A50s and suffered buyer’s remorse immediately upon using them the first time. I was extremely disappointed with the sound quality and lack of volume. I exchanged them for this headset. That was one purchase that I did not regret. The only negative thing about them would be the wire.

Have two pairs of these. Sound is amazing. Feel nice. Can wear them for hours. Great headphones. I use them on Xbox and pc.

I have had A50s for years, my last pair still work, they are just getting old, had them for 8 years. I bought the newest model and the only tging different is the mix amp. The new mix amp is better in every way.

Set up is a little bulky but very comfortable. Works great to switch back and forth between xbox and computer. Just leave the mixer plugged into the PC and plug the headset up directly into the controller for xbox. Sound quality is great.

First off you get what you pay for excellent quaility and sound from these especially when you have Dolby Atmos pumping through them. The only bad thing is instructions are vague, online website provides the same vague instructions, and you have to update the amp via a computer in order for the mic to work on xbox. Maybe that was more than one thing. Still I would recommend these.

Great headset for the Xbox one ive been using this for nearly 2 years now but unfortunately this headset will no longer work properly on the series x as the headset requires an optical audio port for the mix amp which the series x doesnt have. Without it only party chat will play through the headset and not in game audio therefore you have to wear the headset over one ear so you can hear the tv and its a hassle.

I got these on sale for $200 and that's the only price I am willing to pay for this combo, at $250 I'd probably look for alternatives. The headphone itself is great, the sound is really good for the gaming even when I used just the headset with my ps4 controller. The build quality stands out to me which is very unique and that combined with the looks attracts me to these gaming headphones more than any other.

The build and sound quality of this headset are phenomenal... IF you can get the firmware updated. This headset is listed as being 'for Xbox One, Xbox series X|S, PC'. HOWEVER- If you plan to use this with your Xbox, you're going to have to hook it up to a PC to update the firmware on the Mixamp so that you're Xbox will recognize the device. This is where the issue occurs- Astro's software will fail to install the firmware update every time. Their Customer Support is essentially a couple guys in a Discord channel that will tell you to try to update it on a different computer. I tried updating on 6 separate PC's and failed on each. Just to be safe, I exchanged the headset for a new one to ensure I hadn't received a faulty unit. Not the case; Still unable to update the firmware. Still unable to use the headset I'd dropped a couple hundred dollars on. TL;DR - The headset itself it great. Astro as a company is clueless. This issue is well documented online, yet they have (as of earlier this year when I gave up on trying to update the Mixamp) done nothing to patch their software.

Through the years of my gaming career I’ve used multiple different head sets to turtle beach to Microsoft head sets I even had the Astro A10’s. But this headset took my gaming to the next level easy to set up and the in game sound quality is so insane I can actually hear the person playing on the other end mother and father banging one out 3 rooms away. Hands down 10 outta 10 would recommend to anyone and myself would buy this product again!

I purchased these headphones recently and I am very pleased with my purchase. The sound is amazing. I came from Turtle Beach headphones and will not return. They are well worth the money.

Have used them almost a month now. Upgrade from the A10’s. Has 4 sound profiles you can toggle. A little research on You Tube to locate best settings for Call Of Duty. Being able to hear the opponent’s foot steps with such clarity is amazing. I also am very pleased with the sound profile for Theatre when watching Netflix or Disney+ on the monitor. You get the total immersion into the movie sound. Incredible.
