Excellent sound, options, and comfort! I love this headset.

Overall a great product for anyone who games or streams. I bought it as an upgrade for my husband and hes loved using it telling me it sounds much clearer than older versions of the same headset.

-Firmware update is available (I don’t think it’s required). You can do this by wiring the headset to your laptop to run the update. You’ll need the Astro Command Center app - it’s free -if you’re on Xbox, there may be headset assignment issues. If the headset won’t assign (similar to how your controller assigns to your account), disconnect the USB cord from your MixAmp Pro and plug it back in -Check for a YouTube video for adjusting your audio settings for the A40 TR headset. You will have to do this in the Xbox settings -Make sure the optical cord is plugged all the way in. My Xbox port was snug and the optical cord did not plug in all the way at first - If you’re having issues with your mic registering your voice when talking in party chat, disconnect the audio cord from the headset and plug it back in I ran into all of this before actually being able to use my A40s. I don’t think these are recurring issues - just a part of the initial set up process. After all of the troubleshooting... the performance is flat out superior compared to other Xbox headsets. I have really enjoyed them so far, and I would recommend buying these.

Headset works great and sounds amazing but the included mixer doesn't work as intended for Xbox. The fix is supposed to be using a computer to update it but after 3 updates and 2 reinstalles of the software to do so I'm not so sure if they don't know what they're doing. TLDR dont buy with the mixer its a waste of time and money for any not so tech liberate

this headset is like night and day! Crazy how clear and accurate it is. Especially playing FPS games. Can definitely hear exactly where people are coming from! As long as you don't mind that its not wireless, its definitely worth it!

Amazing sound quality with great bass. Amazing quality and easy sound adjustment with the mixamp. If you can't hear these things get loud! Never have broke a pair

Not that great. Wired is the worst. Switched to another manufacuter. Sound was good but too many components that can break with mixamp

I love Astros and have been using them for years as my daily drivers. Great sound, good mic quality, and the mixamp is a must have. Only down side is here is no on/off button on the latest model so you have to unplug from usb everytime.

Now that Logitech is onboard these have been an upgrade from older a40’s I had and most recently a50’s. The sound is amazing on these. I know what others are going to say “you can get way better headphones and add a mic” etc. this thing is ready to go no need to buy extra mic or cables, connectors, it just works out of the box. XBOX as well.

The mixamp pro is a very capable piece of equipment. The headphones are very good as well. Good build quality. Sound directionality and volume is great, quality of sound is okay. Wish it came with softer leather ear pieces instead of just the suede.

Was great, the build quality and the sound was amazing. Hefty price sure but we’ll worth it if you want a park of great headphones.

Did a lot of research, watched a lot of reviews and finally decided on the Astro A40 with MixAmp PRO TR . Wow, so glad I did because these are lightweight, comfortable and the Dolby Atmos surround sound is soo immersive you really have to hear it for yourself. So far no problems. Go buy em'!

Best headsets for the price. Very clear and the mix amp plus the app helps you tune it to how you want it. Chose these over a50 because I wouldn’t want them dying on me while I’m in battle. Plus all my friends have a50’s and they’re always complaining that theirs are gonna die when we’re in a battle.

The headset preforms great, when it works correctly. Its more of a nuisance than anything. I had it hooked up to my gaming PC and Xbox One X at the same time. But everytime I started up my Xbox, and the Mixamp was switched to Xbox, it wouldnt work. I had to switch to PC and back to Xbox and it would work. I would have to do this EVERYTIME I turned on my xbox, which is quite annoying. Sound quality was very good, microphone picked up voice great and kept out background noise. Another con, found that the cord that plugs into the headset comes loose more than I'd like it to. Made a static noise around twice weekly and had to be adjusted.

One of the best head sets you can buy if you are a serious fps player. Have tried many different gaming headsets at many different price points and this one always comes out on top!

This is the second of this exact headset I have purchased. The first one I gave to my fiancé after owning it for about two years. It still works perfectly and works great with the mix amp going feom XBOX to PC. I recently looked into a different headset and tried out the Steel Series Headset and it was not good compared to this one. The sound quality sounded very echoed, but the mix amp was more hands on. This is the nest sounding headset I have used and it is very durable.

I’ve bounced from Astro to hyper x and now back to Astro. I can honestly say most headphones are similar under $100 price points. But when you are looking for next level and you are spending more than +$100- don’t mess around with any other headsets. These are the ones. Look not further.
