Yes its a bit pricey, but if you are one that does not break things on a regular occasion it is perfect for you. The best sounding headset ever no question about that. Not to mention all the parts except for the head band and speakers are replaceable

My SO has been eyeing this Astro Gaming headset forever. He bought his first pair of Astros 10 years ago and has not swapped them for another pair. He says he notices a significant difference with these and loves how sleek they look. These are a gaming classic!

Great sound. No one has complained about my mic while I'm talking. My only complaint is the mixamp doesn't remember what equalizer you set and if you turned of surround sound. It only takes a a couple button pushes to change it but it should remember.

I went from the Astro A50 and the difference is insane. I love the A40s with the Mixamp. The are a great pair of headphones. If you are trying to record game chat off your xbox without the distorted noise then the A40s are perfect. The only downside of the product is the low base.

My sons are extreme gamers.They play constantly.They go through headsets like 10+ per year!My oldest asked for these for Christmas a few years ago and along with Best Buys Geek Squad Warranty it has truely paid off.Now both have these.Only wish they were more affordable.

Team Astro. By far these have been one of the best Mix Amp set I've gotten. Have yet to try the wireless but for now these have done me great.

Great quality, but you’d think that for the price you could get a longer cord for the mix amp. If you’re gaming on a large tv you basically have to sit like 4 feet from the screen or your mixamp cord won’t reach.

For some reason my son's old gaming headphones would always break or one ear would lose sound and we kept buying new ones, especially turtle beaches and so far these headphones have way exceeded the life of the beaches. Definitely worth buying.

The quality of the headset is amazing and it brings the gaming experience to another level. The only thing is you need a PC to do an update for an XBOX One X or the headset will not connect to the console.

It is an amazing headset, the design, sound and adjustability is very good. I realized it is for the hardcore gamer and it is a little more than my needs require. I am glad it has all the belsl and whistles but know this before you from $$$.

I originally bought the 3rd generation but returned them after 3 weeks because these were released. I can honestly tell a huge difference in sound, this gen 4 seems to have a lot richer sound and the mixamp change up is a lot more user friendly. So glad I went back for these.

Excellent headset. The app works great for targeting specific audio queues in games. Easily switches between PC and console.

I've been using a Mixamp since 2014 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Audio quality is very nice on every different model Mixamp I've used. The headset is OK. I prefer the HyperX Cloud paired with the Mixamp.

These are a game changer when it comes to great quality sound and situational awareness in any games but definitely first person shooters. I would recommend these for gamers or anyone looking at a quality sounding headset. It's worth the price!

A bit pricey, but well worth the investment. If you don't mind it being a wired headset it's perfect. I have had my Turtlebeach Stealth 700's for awhile. Loved them, but the ability on these allowed me to hear better, which improved my gaming some.

Love them they work great could hear everything while playing games mic quality is great today
