I originally bought the 3rd generation but returned them after 3 weeks because these were released. I can honestly tell a huge difference in sound, this gen 4 seems to have a lot richer sound and the mixamp change up is a lot more user friendly. So glad I went back for these.

I've been using a Mixamp since 2014 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Audio quality is very nice on every different model Mixamp I've used. The headset is OK. I prefer the HyperX Cloud paired with the Mixamp.

Top of the line head set with all the features. Definitely cant go wrong with this purchase.

Purchased them for my husband and he absolutely loved them. He no longer uses any other headphones. He’s had them now for quite a while and hasn’t gone back to anything else.

These are a game changer when it comes to great quality sound and situational awareness in any games but definitely first person shooters. I would recommend these for gamers or anyone looking at a quality sounding headset. It's worth the price!

A bit pricey, but well worth the investment. If you don't mind it being a wired headset it's perfect. I have had my Turtlebeach Stealth 700's for awhile. Loved them, but the ability on these allowed me to hear better, which improved my gaming some.

The quality on these are amazing. You can practically hear anything. The only issue I have is the mic keeps disconnecting every time I turn off my Xbox. I have to restart the mixer every time I play.

It’s not compatible with the new Xbox series x. Loved the features and unfortunately had to return it due to compatibility. Overall it sounded nice when I got it to work.

Hands down the BEST headset I have ever purchased! Sound quality is amazing the included subscription of Dolby Atmos is pretty cool. Ease of use is really good (if your console includes a digital audio port) 10/10 would buy again

Better than steel series nova pro. Not sure why a lot of sites don’t list these as the best you can buy.

Omggg i love themmmm sound quality, very comfortable. The mix amp is a great accesorie for it.

I used turtle beach forever and got these just to see the difference. I will never go back to Turtle beaches the Dolby in these is insane. The no amp let’s you totally customize the mix of voice to game sound I’m 100% satisfied

I’ve never had an issue with Astro’s and the new Astro A40s are amazing as always. The custom EQs with the mix amp will take anyone to the next level for gaming. You can hear footsteps and which direction they’re coming from so easily.

bought as a gift and they were thrilled. said they missed their old A40s and these did not disappoint

5/5 highly recommend the mix amp is awesome and the headset is super durable I’ve dropped it a few times pretty bad and nothing has broken but did wish it came with an extra aux cable mine broke pretty quick and had to buy a new one

Well it's been a full weekend with these Astro a40s and I have to say that I absolutely love them. These things sound better than I ever expected them to sound and I am very impressed. I spent the last 8 months watching reviews, reading reviews and talking to people about what they use and their experiences. So it came down to these and the steelseries 7. I jumped out the plane and got these and have been on cloud nine all weekend. They sound great, they feel great and the mic is great ( so far ). The only complaint I have is the cord that comes down from the head phone it hits my shoulder, but other than that it's all good.
