I've tried these headphones on my Mac, PC, and TV, and it works great on all of them. The microphone quality is the best I have seen in any wireless headset. And because it is 2.4GHz wireless, the audio quality is amazing. In Dolby mode it sounds and feels like I'm in a theater. Super comfortable and lots of cool features that left me thoroughly impressed!

These are some great sounding headphones but, they seem to have connection issues with the Xbox series S. My son says every once in a while they’ll just stop working. Sometimes his online chat will quit working but, he can still here the video game audio. Then sometimes everything will quit working all together. We’ve made sure it was updated and charged but, it still happens every once in a while. Like I said these are great when they’re working. But, given how much these cost? We shouldn’t be having issues like we’re having.

Needless to say, I was extremely excited to receive and use my newly purchased A50's. This was primarily due to the long-standing hype that Astro consistently produces the best gaming headsets on the market. Initially, I was thoroughly impressed, the headset is designed well (aluminum trusses for durability), and is one of the more comfortable headsets I've used (Plantronics RIG 800 is still more comfortable IMO). Setup is rather straightforward, although you do have to wait several hours for the headset to fully charge before using it for the first time. Once up and running the headsets sound quality is absolutely superb, especially when used in conjunction with Dolby Atmos (a 2-yr subscription is included). You will definitely notice an enhanced spatial awareness while gaming with the way in which the headset is engineered. If anyone is still reading this review at this point, you are probably thinking to yourself that all of the above information is all 5-star worthy, why the 3-stars. Well, if you're like me, you are making this purchase to do some form of online multiplayer. I normally play FPS's with friends, and this is where all the problems arise. The Game/Chat Mixing on this headset is absolutely atrocious. Most headsets incorporate a dial to allow the user to blend their preferred amount of game volume vs chat volume. However, the Gen4 A50 game/chat mixer is located on the external aspect of the right ear muff and is modulated by clicking it forward or to the rear to adjust between game/chat. When you go to either extreme (all game, or all chat) you will hear an audible cue of two rapid beeps and you will also receive an audible cue of one beep when you are at a 50/50 blend between the two. But one click of the button in either direction does not equate to movement of one position in the scale between the two extremes. More often than not, I have attempted to slightly increase the game volume over the chat volume just to have the headset randomly go all the way to the extreme of all game with no chat, while attempting to dial it back the headset will then go all the way to all chat and no game. This problem has been a reoccurring theme ever since I have had the headset. Suffice it to say that this is extremely frustrating and basically makes using this headset for online multiplayer completely pointless/useless, which is what I purchased this headset for. If you are watching a movie, listening to music or playing a game where chatting with a friend and needing to hear the finer details of the game are not a priority, then it's a great sounding headset. But for me, the game/chat mixing design on this absolute garbage.

Great headphones they work with pc and Xbox some quality issues with the charging directly on the headphones the port broke but I can still fit a charger into it so it isn’t a problem. They also had a beeping sound they would make but it fixed with the bios updates. Overall I think they are great some small issues but I’ve used them for a few years and I think they are the best on the market but could be cheaper

Great wireless headset although it can have some manufacturing issues with the middle head band. Warranty process was simple and they just sent a new one and didn’t require sending the old back so if you have problems, replacing is easy. You can also get a good distance from the base before experiencing connection loss.

Can’t say enough good things about these, they can be worn for 6+ hours and are very comfortable, they go around your ears so they don’t press on them. Battery life is good. The mic had issues bout a recent firmware update corrected it. Range is over 30 feet they are pricey but worth it if you can get them on sale would be a bonus. I use these on pc

These are my first wiress headphones. I've had many other headphones that were wired but I wanted to go high end and wireless this time around. These are awesome very crisp sound and so much better than the ones I had before. There is alot of customization when it comes to adjusting the equalizers and volume by connecting it to the computer. The reason I give 4 stars is they were causing issues with party chat at least on the xbox but it has it cleared up but it does do it once in a while. As well if you want true noise Cancelation they sell the ear cups separately which for headsets that are 300 I feel like should already have but even with the default ear cups they are still good.

If you love the feel of Astro headsets, this will fall right into your wheelhouse. After my A40s in 2016, I wanted to move to something wireless. I tried Steelseries and they felt cheap and I did not like the fit. I went back to Astro and got the A50s. Super easy to set up, great sound, low end is a bit muddy but you can EQ them to help with that. Mic sounds top notch for a headset mic and being able to use them on Xbox or PC has been nice. They have were replaced in my setup by audiophile grade headphones Sennheiser HD6XX and a standalone mic, Samson Q2U as my gaming drivers, but, I keep them because there may be days I want to recline on my chair with a controller and they are perfect for those moments I don't want to be tethered by a cord. Overall, if you're used to Astro, you're going to put these on and be right at home. Worth the investment if you want a top quality wireless headset. My only gripe is the docking of them and ensuring the charging touch points are on correctly, but, after getting used to how to do it, it's a non issue now.

I upgrade from Gen2's into this Gen. Gen2 battery was horrible which resulted in having to essentially have wired headphones. The sound from Gen2 to Gen5 is about equal. Battery life is great! The docking station is amazing plus you have the option to wire charge if you had to, FYI, I haven't had to do that, I get 6 hours EASY out of them with plenty of "juice" to carry me to 10 or more hours. Also, the fact that I had Gen2's from 2010 to 2020 should illustrate how great Astros are. I broke the headband on my Gen2s and Astro repaired for me. In fact, the only reason I bought these was the design flaw of the roller knob which resulted in the inability to modify the volume on the headset. I see the knob is the same here but it feels better made and I got the geek squad plan if need be Independent drivers, exquisite sound quality, 5.1/7.1 surround gives you the edge to hear the pitter patter before it is too late!

Definitely a cool looking headset with outstanding audio and mic quality. Also an extremely comfortable feel on the head. Pricey, but your head and ears will thank you, especially if you wear them for an extended period of time. Also, worth the investment if you want all the above, plus the freedom to move around wirelessly. Great battery life as well.

Very good headset when it comes to sound quality. HOWEVER! Connectivity is my issue which is why I place it at 4star. It will randomly disconnect which I would have to reconnect. Biggest problem with that is it could constantly disconnect and I play right next to the charging bay. 300$ disconnecting issue. Maybe it was just mine idk

This headset is… excellent for what it offers. But, Astro really needs to improve on the design for the 6th generation when that comes out. Let’s start with the positives. The sound is excellent and easily tunable to whatever you want. The Microphone is crisp and clear for it being a wireless mic. The earcups are good stock, if a little warm. Let’s go to the bad but fixable. The Headband. Hooo boy the headband on the Astro A50 Gen 4 is… deplorable. The design is just straight up flawed. The middle piece that has the only segment of padding on the headset will very easily pop out of its friction fit mounting and make you very uncomfortable. However, there’s a person called Capra Audio that makes 3D Printed headstraps out of TPU plastic for a wide variety of Headphones. This absolutely transforms the headset from uncomfortable to insanely comfortable. And completely fixes the issue with the headband. Then the earcups. The stock ones are fine, but my highest recommendation would be to buy a pair of Wicked Cushions for this headset. That levels up the comfort even further and makes this easily an “all day” fit. Finally, the firmware issues. If you take the headset off its docking station and unplug the dock for a long time (around a month) the Headset will just… lose its firmware. And then you have to do a fairly long process with a desktop PC to reload the firmware onto the headset again. But, as long as you keep everything plugged in, and the headset charged, everything is good. I wish there was a “I kinda recommend” option, but I’ll have to give this an “I don’t recommend”.

A couple of my friends have recommended the A50's for years. My one friend and I finally gave in and each bought a pair. The sound quality is great, they were extremely comfortable. I say were because within the first two weeks of owning them the cushion that rests on the top of your head pops out. Once I click it back into place it stays in place until I put the headphones back on my head then it pops out again, so now I just don't even use it. On top of that both my friend and I have noticed that there is a ticking/buzzing sound when using the headphones that only gets resolved by resetting your console each time it occurs. I reached out to Astro's customer service, and after spending 4-5 days explaining my problems and providing proof that I actually purchased the headphones the rep said they would send a replacement pair. The rep has since stopped communicating through email and every time I call the customer service number they give me the same runaround story that they will alert the rep and his supervisor that I have reached out without providing a simple confirmation that my replacement has been shipped or provide a tracking number. Honestly probably the worst customer service I have dealt with.

Okay let me say that the headset is so comfortable its unreal how good it feels on your head. And the sound quality itself is amazing and the microphone that's built in could be better for 300 bucks but that's besides the point. I've been using them for about three months now and I've had no issues with them so far and it's so cool the way you charge the headset. I went from using the gold wireless stereo headset for years and I can say that this is a huge upgrade for me. But the pricing for the astro a50 is a different story. Unless you got it when it was on sale like I did its definitely worth it but if you're getting it for 300 that's for you to decide honestly because I don't see myself destroying my wallet for a headset unless I'm desperate as hell and don't forget if you have a pc you can change your equalizer and your decibels which is so cool and your headset has to update once you purchased them and the headset doesn't feel cheep at all which I like it to be

This is my first Astro headset and it hasn’t disappointed. I upgraded from my Turtle Beach Stealth 700 and I couldn’t be happier. The charge base is sleek and looks very nice on my tv stand. I love that there are no wires hanging off of my Xbox to charge it. The battery lasts very long and the sound quality is excellent. Worth the $$ spent for sure.
