If you love the feel of Astro headsets, this will fall right into your wheelhouse. After my A40s in 2016, I wanted to move to something wireless. I tried Steelseries and they felt cheap and I did not like the fit. I went back to Astro and got the A50s. Super easy to set up, great sound, low end is a bit muddy but you can EQ them to help with that. Mic sounds top notch for a headset mic and being able to use them on Xbox or PC has been nice. They have were replaced in my setup by audiophile grade headphones Sennheiser HD6XX and a standalone mic, Samson Q2U as my gaming drivers, but, I keep them because there may be days I want to recline on my chair with a controller and they are perfect for those moments I don't want to be tethered by a cord. Overall, if you're used to Astro, you're going to put these on and be right at home. Worth the investment if you want a top quality wireless headset. My only gripe is the docking of them and ensuring the charging touch points are on correctly, but, after getting used to how to do it, it's a non issue now.

Works with the new generation consoles. A firmware update is required inorder to use with new consoles as they do not have an optical port. Now ran through USB slot. Very sound detailed, just make sure to fine tune it in the Dolby app (will need to download as well) on console or PC it will be used for. Overall great quality and comfort.

I searched for a long time and tried multiple headsets and finally landed on this one. Its a bit pricey but the Mic quality is outstanding, as all my friends can hear me perfectly. The audio quality from these drivers is far superior to previous generations. The bass is clear and hits well but is not over powering or muddy. The app is also put together well and offers EQ profiles and a manual custom EQ option. Battery life so far is very good and the dock makes charging easy when your finished playing. I would highly recommend if it fits your budget.

A couple of my friends have recommended the A50's for years. My one friend and I finally gave in and each bought a pair. The sound quality is great, they were extremely comfortable. I say were because within the first two weeks of owning them the cushion that rests on the top of your head pops out. Once I click it back into place it stays in place until I put the headphones back on my head then it pops out again, so now I just don't even use it. On top of that both my friend and I have noticed that there is a ticking/buzzing sound when using the headphones that only gets resolved by resetting your console each time it occurs. I reached out to Astro's customer service, and after spending 4-5 days explaining my problems and providing proof that I actually purchased the headphones the rep said they would send a replacement pair. The rep has since stopped communicating through email and every time I call the customer service number they give me the same runaround story that they will alert the rep and his supervisor that I have reached out without providing a simple confirmation that my replacement has been shipped or provide a tracking number. Honestly probably the worst customer service I have dealt with.

Love my headset. Been with Astro for years. Is finicky getting it to charge on the dock but once you do it enough, you get that you gotta wiggle it. Input sounds great output sounds better, use the app on pc and tweak the equalizer, also the chat volume/game volume is on the side of the ear piece you just tape it one way or the other to balance chat/game. It’s the flagship for Astro but i can wear these all day and never hurt my ear. These are worth every penny and like anything else yes they have their issues but get the replacement plan and feel that reassurance just incase anything happens and enjoy these comfortable headphones that have amazing quality sound.

Easy to setup, sound is amazing, comfortable to wear for long gaming nights. Only downside is that I occasionally have to restart my console to get the sound to work when I switch between games.

Love the A50’s great sound quality, fit very comfortably, will last you. Only thing I dislike is they are still operating on micro usb. Plus if you have a console you have to buy an adapter for additional $40 to connect the hub. That’s ridiculous in my opinion but overall great headphones. I’d recommend the A50X

Okay let me say that the headset is so comfortable its unreal how good it feels on your head. And the sound quality itself is amazing and the microphone that's built in could be better for 300 bucks but that's besides the point. I've been using them for about three months now and I've had no issues with them so far and it's so cool the way you charge the headset. I went from using the gold wireless stereo headset for years and I can say that this is a huge upgrade for me. But the pricing for the astro a50 is a different story. Unless you got it when it was on sale like I did its definitely worth it but if you're getting it for 300 that's for you to decide honestly because I don't see myself destroying my wallet for a headset unless I'm desperate as hell and don't forget if you have a pc you can change your equalizer and your decibels which is so cool and your headset has to update once you purchased them and the headset doesn't feel cheep at all which I like it to be

Very comfortable and simple to use. They hold their charge for better than eight hours of playing time. The sound is excellent and the noise cancellation makes playing much more enjoyable. Other players in chats claim the microphone is fantastically clear. Would definitely recommend

I got this without knowing my Gold PS4 had no optical cable! I honestly upgraded to the PS4 Pro because it of that. Could thing it was on sale. Onto the product I’d definitely recommend, really comfortable! Have only had a lag between the sound once since purchasing, hasn’t occurred again, sounds great, connects easily when you want to use it.

One of the best sounding gaming headsets. The price is quite high but so is the quality of what you get. The sound and comfort are top level. I use it for extended gaming sessions with no issues. Good battery life. Tons of customization options. Firmware updates allow for use with Xbox Series X/S.

My buddies always teased me that I would look the wrong way or not hear enemies approach. After I got my Astros, it never happened again. Now, I tell them stuff they don’t even hear. I can hear scared crows in Hunt Showdown from several compounds away. I can track enemies direction from their footsteps. Same thing with game play in Vigor or COD. These things make my old Turtle Beaches seem like they are from the 80’s. There is no comparison. And I haven’t even discussed the audio from a mood or environment perspective. What you hear when wearing these will blow you away! And make sure to get the Charging Dock. No wires! Ever. Properly arrange them on the dock and they charge through contacts. I can game for several hours a day, several days in a row before I need to recharge them. I feel they are definitely worth their price and then some.

From using a wired headset to upgrading to a wireless headset is so convenient. I was able to walk into the kitchen down stairs for a drink without having to pause a movie or my games it’s like it reaches 100 feet or something On top of that, having a headset mount without cables is such a space saver which leads to a cleaner, sleeker space. And for gaming, the sound is crystal clear, the mic works exactly as advertised and it fits comfortably for long periods of time. The only issue I’ve had with this headset is the mic because loose over time and doesn’t stay in the position you put it but other then that it’s a great headset.

Wireless is so much nicer. I like that the ear cups aren’t the faux leather that crumbles. Comfortable too. Nice quality feel. Not very heavy. Lots of function. Only con would be that it doesn’t always connect to Xbox when you turn it on. You have to unplug and replug the usb.

This headset is pretty good. The sound quality is good and you can game for hours on it without hurting your ears or giving you a headache. The only con I have for this headset is that the top part of the headset where it rests on top of your head. Always seems to break off and won't stay on. No matter how many times you try to click it together. I dont know maybe my head is just to big or something.

Many gamers and the like would talk up the astro gaming headsets as being the best around. I finally gave into the hype and parted with the 300+ dollars and tried them out for myself. I assumed before even trying them on that they would sound and feel the same as the cheaper gaming headsets I’ve had in the past, but I was so wrong! Trying them on for the 1st time I was hooked, the fit and comfort was spot on at least for my head shape and size plus I wear glasses and they still felt just fine. The sound quality was amazing while playing the latest and greatest cod: mw 2019. Every gun pop, explosion had amazing sound and wasn’t over boomy. The headset microphone was crystal clear allowing for clear concise communication in parties and in games. They are also 100% wireless with decent battery life of around 15 hours or so. My biggest regret was trying them out, now I’m hooked on Astro and I don’t think I can go back to a lesser quality gaming headset. I really hope they last a decent while before crapping out! Never owned Astro anything this is the first, I guess the ones I bought were generation 4’s new for 2019. I would highly recommend these.

    That summer fling

Unfortunately, as all summer flings, my love for this headset came to an end. It started out wonderfully, the headset fit comfortably, had fantastic sound, had amazing features (game/voice controls) but 3 things did it in for me. 1) Price. This beauty was $300 bucks. On top of that, you need to spend another $40 bucks just for it to work on the PS5 (it needs an adapter for optical output, used to not be the case for PS4, but yea... thanks PS5 for taking that part out). 2) It does not charge while PS5 is on rest mode. Apparently the PS5 does not provide enough amperage while in rest mode to charge this bad boy.... so yea, only time you can charge it is when you're playing. Which is when I'd want to be using it, not charging it. 3) I was getting complaints that it was cutting out while I was playing from friends, when I'm all of 15 feet away in the same room. For a headset that cost me so much, I'd expect perfection. Granted, all of these things are kind of picky things, but for $340 plus tax? I'm expecting perfection here. Definitely not the case, so it went back. I can make due with a different headset with less features I suppose that didn't cost three times the price. You were fun while it lasted Astro A50...

I researched headsets and chose this one for the comfort. And it is very comfortable. I wear them for hours with minimal fatigue. Note that the rechargeable battery is not replaceable, and it will eventually wear out. This is a big minus, but for me the comfort makes it worth it. Sound quality and functionality are great for my needs (primarily voice chat, but music sounds decent enough). The recharging station is nice and convenient.
