This monitor has some sort of addiction effect which causes users to attach to 144hz and not appreciate any lower frequency any more.

I bought this monitor for gaming in high deff. Well it does that an more. It's a must have for the gamer of today!Highly recommended

This monitor is amazing especially at 144 hz. I picked this up during black friday and I have no regrets. I must say I'm not huge fan of asus customer service from past experiences, however this why I gave it 4 stars. The monitor performance is great and easy to set up.

I bought this on sale, and this is the best monitor I have seen for this price point. Great picture quality, adjustable, and has 3D to boot!

As a big note, be sure to use the big DVI cable to your rig and setup the refresh rate to 144 Hz from monitor settings from control panels to actually take advantage of the hardware, otherwise you'll start with only 60 Hz. Also, I believe the standard HDMI cables are limited to 60 Hz as well which also implies use of the DVI cable for 144 Hz setting as well. Great upgrade for those that haven't used a 144 Hz monitor before. Feels like you won't miss a thing since the refresh rate is higher when panning the camera around during the game.

This is a beautiful monitor for gaming. I love the ability to be able to move my monitor so easily. It's perfect for gaming.

I had only heard great things about monitors that had a high refresh rate, however, there was no way to truly appreciate it unless you physically saw them in person. Playing Fortnite at the in-store demo, a game that I had already been familiar with on a 60hz display really displayed the major difference between a high refresh monitor and a standard refresh monitor. It blew me away. This monitor is also 3d compatible, which I know is out of the mainstream now, but I went on ebay and bought a used nvidia 3d glasses set up and it was a lot of fun to be able to test that out on this monitor on a lot of the older games that supported it. This was something I had kind of been interested in before but never really attempted and it was kind of neat, don't buy this monitor for that reason as 3d support is pretty much dead across the board from all manufacturers and is kind of a novelty now. Either way, this monitor is great and there is even a color calibration manual online that I found that really brought out the picture too, I will never go back to sub 144hz gaming ever again.

Watch a lot of streamers and it was recommended to get this one. The sale price was unbeatable and I love my new monitor

For gaming this works really well. If you got a really built computer- maybe this won’t let you see what you invested in ( yet you probably wouldn’t consider this at that point anyway ). But if you’re on a console or even a great gaming pc- this is a win for the price.

I bought this to get me through my next year of game until I can afford a full upgrade on my pc. So as far as the monitor goes the pros and cons are as follows: Pros: Lightweight and easy to set up 144hz for the gamers delight 1080p crisp at viewing distance Has every type of plugin you need for modern setups (dvi *the only way you can breech the 60fps limit btw*, display port, and hdmi 3.0) Colors are fantasic right outnof the box but can be adjusted to your liking Buttons on the bottom of the panel for easy menu surfing One button setting swap for movies, games, photo mode and more Height adjust and tilt with horizontal and vertical swivel Cons: While 144hz is awesome especial for the price tag, most games and video get some screen tearing so it's best to just use adaptive vsync and cap the frames at 120fps. Warning the dvi cable that goes to it is only 3ft so hopefully that is long enough for your needs Wish it had lazer beams attached to it's fricken head ;-) The headset jack dims the audio by nearly half and muffles a bit not a biggie as I just use the one on the back of my case. Conclusion: Would recommend to anyone into competitive gaming on pc as it has given me a nice edge with the smooth motion of higher frames. Good product for the price and best buy sells it cheaper than newegg and frys.
