Decent monitor, not super happy with the quality for the price

Worked fine for about 7 months however the DisplayPort port has gone bad after some troubleshooting. Having to use HDMI right now but cannot get the 144Hz through that which is one of the main appeals of this monitor. Will have to talk with the manufacturer as I didn't purchase a protection plan

Owned for just over a year, starting to have the following issues: - picture gets randomly fuzzy - picture begins to stutter - will randomly not power up or come out of sleep mode (red light) All of these issues require me to unplug the power from the monitor, wait a few seconds and plug it back in.

This monitor is ok. Gets the job done for me. Contrast is ok. Picture is a little grainy.

The single best thing about this monitor is the blazing fast 144hz refresh rate. If you're buying this monitor for any other reasons, you're looking at the wrong monitor. Pros: As I said above, the high refresh rate is the biggest plus of this monitor. This is really the only way I can describe it: imagine watching the 48FPS version of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit for the first time and translating it into a game. The only problem this brings is that you have to have the power to run games at a framerate that high. I can see a noticeable improvement with my Radeon HD 7950 in most games, but to get true 144FPS in everything you need to be boasting a GTX Titan or a 780TI (or use CrossFire/SLI). Cons: Blacks and viewing angles. Blacks often appear grey, and the viewing angle is awful; dead center is the only way to view the screen without color distortion. The viewing angle is even worse if most of the screen is covered in dark colors: unless your face is right on the monitor there is distortion along the edges of the monitor. These are the usual downsides of a TN panel. Color reproduction however is so-so; I use a configuration that boosts the saturation so I don't notice much of a problem there at all. Conclusion: If you're a gamer, get this monitor if you have the cash to shell out for it. It's a hell-of-a-lot more expensive than standard 24-inch monitors, but for the virtually non-existent input lag and response time it's worth it. Even if you can't drive 144FPS across the board, this monitor will future-proof your system if you end up getting hardware that can. As for photo/video enthusiasts: I don't know why you're even considering a TN panel monitor. Go for IPS. And as for speakers: they're the typical junk. Slightly better than your average monitor speaker, but not something you'd want for regular use.

Returned it after not being that impressed with the colors or the 144hz. Couldn't see a difference from my 1080p 60hz Acer monitors when playing games at 144hz.... Bought a 2k, 144hz monitor (Dell) and was blown away by the vibrant colors and the refresh rates looked insanely better.

I almost bought a BenQ 27" monitor but then i saw this monitor and was sold. This monitor is great in size and quality. The picture quality is just astonishing. I highly recommend this monitor. Great for work & ESPECIALLY GAMING.

Nothing special I use it to edit videos mostly....Have not had any problems....

It's an okay gaming monitor for my ps4 although for me it's a little slow.

My screen flashes occasionally..not as good as I expected.

nice but no flashy hd or 4k high res, just nice framerates.

Not to great with the Microsoft surface book/tablets

Monitor was great for about two weeks, the the Displayport port malfunctioned. Looking this up online, this seems to be a common problem with this monitor. Do not buy if you want to connect with Displayport.

Good for new players. Performs well as advertised.

I guess I expected more from this monitor than it could deliver: it's a fine monitor, to be sure, but it just didn't compare well to the monitors I already had. The higher frame rate is nice. but it didn't really wow me as much as I had hoped.

The employee was acting like this would be a top of the line monitor and it’s my own fault for not doing research but this thing is really old and there are much better options for $300. Felt a bit ripped off.

I originally bought this monitor so I can finally enjoy 1ms/144hz in all its glory... but the image quality of this monitor honestly left a sour taste in my mouth. I have three monitors. All of them are IPS monitors from a few years ago and I had the intention of replacing my middle monitor with this Asus gaming one, but when you see this monitor right next to two IPS monitors.... the image quality is REALLY lacking in comparison. I'm chalking this up to the fact that it's a TN panel. I've already returned this and I'm going to make the investment into a gaming monitor that has an IPS panel.

I ended up returning this monitor. It didn't look as good as the one I'd been using for years. Kind of a bummer, but there's better monitors on the shelf.
