This is my first 144Hz gaming monitor so I have nothing else to compare it with, but as my first to bring the experience of going from 60 to 144Hz, it's a great starter for me and probably you if you're debating on making the jump (my advice: Do it! The difference is definitely noticeable. Even with cursor movement and browser scrolling). However, I would wait for it to go on sale... Like the price this was going for during BF/CM. There's quite a bit of color profiles and user settings around the Net you can try or tweak to your own liking that make the picture look really good. Why only 4 stars? 2 things: 1) The audio out of the built in speakers sound kinda 'tin can-ny' compared to other monitors I've had. But of course that's why you should be using a gaming headset. 2) It's a known issue that the DisplayPort will temporarily go out after a while. It happened to me once so far, but a complete disconnect of the power cable for half minute should solve the issue.

First off, my teenage sons says ASUS is the best! He uses this monitor for gaming & the graphics & colors are awesome. Very clear & colors are bright reducing eye strain. Games play smoothly with excellent clarity.

Perfect size to pixel ratio. Ideal for competitive gaming. If you prefer framerate and response time over resolution, this is the go-to choice.

We bought 2 of these after reading the reviews. You can not find better for the price. We are very happy with the picture and the frame rate.

just what the right specifications for gaming. Perfect dimensions for screen. The speed and accuracy are superb for the price of comparable monitors.

Great monitor for the money. Crisp picture, speakers are ideal for my xbox one. Although it is manly used with my gaming pc. The 1ms is magnificent for the games I play. You won't be disappointed with this monitor.

Originally I wanted the curved MSI monitor that best buy was selling online but the store didn't have any in stock. So I purchased this one instead. I do MMOs and it's great for the frame rates and colours. Really love being able to adjust it as well.

Purchased this monitor as a gift; recipient already had one identical to this one & wanted dual monitors. Extensive research was done prior to purchasing the 1st one so I knew this was the one. Hard to find @ holiday time but BB had it for less than a lot of competitors.

I caught this bad boy on sale and the picture quality and features are great for the price especially for 144Hz.

I bought this monitor for my son for Christmas it has an amazing picture and makes his gaming experience a thousand times better!! He loves it! Best gift ever.

When we decided to replace our computer with a new Asus model, my husband was reluctant to also replace the monitor and keypad, but I really wanted the same brand name equipment. Now, he's glad we made the decision to purchase an "all Asus" system. The monitor resolution is so very much better than our previous monitor. It's slightly larger, which is good for aging eyes. And even though we're not "gamers," this is a great option for anyone who uses a computer. Also, the keyboard "touch" is very comfortable and not overly sensitive, as is the mouse. So glad we made this purchase!

I originally got this monitor for gaming on PS4 although it is extreme overkill since it cannot output games at 144Hz. Despite this, it was the only monitor I could find with a 1ms response time and 24 inches. It performs really well on the PS4 with noticeable difference in gaming especially first person shooters. It takes some time to get used to if you have only played on a television screen but it doesn't take much time. I recently got into PC gaming and with the help of my PC friends I was able to hook up my rig for the best performance possible and they were jealous of the quality of the monitor and how smooth games such as fallout 4 and overwatch ran. You do have to adjust in game settings and customize settings on the monitor but it's nothing difficult. This was a great purchase and I wouldn't have gone with any other monitor.

I bought this monitor for gaming, and although its not as good as its 27" larger version because it doesn't have g-sync, its 10X better than your standard flat screen tv as a monitor.... I plugged it in and the difference in picture alone, and the 144hz for gaming is just fabulous. no screen tearing during games, no video lag, the Game-plus was just a bonus... the built-in crosshair overlay is worth it by itself. the price was a lot cheaper than I expected. a top quality product., but its Asus, you know its going to be good.my son went and bought one after seeing how nice this monitor was.

This is seriously one of the best 144hz monitor. The quality of it is good and the picture looks excellent.

Perfect for gaming. I have my pc and ps4 connected. If you want to take full advantage of this 144hz 1ms panel you need to have a pc and display port cable (not included)

I got this monitor to go along with a budget build gaming PC using a gtx 1050ti graphics card and I and very happy with the performance. Everything is smooth and responsive as it claim to be, definitely a great option for entry level monitor

Great overall monitor for any gamer! The size of the screen alone is already a big step up from my previous one. It took a little time playing around with the display settings until I got what looks best to me but all in all 10/10 recommend

I bought this monitor for my son as he loves to game and has really been enjoying First Person Shooter (FPS) games lately. I personally would like to have gotten the BenQ model, but only because they have eye strain, blue light reduction in theirs, and this particular model of the Asus does not. That said, I got the monitor a lot cheaper, so I went with. The blue light reduction is not a huge issue unless you are playing for hours and hours or have very sensitive eyes. I am willing to pay about 15% more for the feature, but it was a lot more in this particular case.

144hz gaming monitor what more can you say? Only thing that would make it better is it being a gsync monitor as well. Price is great for it's performance.
