Bought this for my 17 year old son & he loves it. Great picture & sound

my son loves it. it has an HDMI input and goes on sale all the time.

*This is going to be my comprehensive review of this monitor so be prepared for a lengthy read ahead* You always hear the phrase, "you get what you paid for". This can be a good mentality to keep in your head when shopping for products that are cheaper than they should look. More often than not, that ends up being true and you pay for what you get, an inferior product. However, that isn't the case here with this monitor. It really is a great deal for what you get and though this is a monitor that I would definitely recommend to people who play games on computer monitors, this does work with other things besides gaming as well. Featuring a nice, crisp and clean 1920 x 1080 screen, this monitor when you first set it up has a decent color projection. It's not true color and I wouldn't buy this monitor if you're looking for true color presentation but there are numerous settings and modes that you can go into to adjust to your satisfaction if you so choose. That being said, the modes offered here are plentiful and you'll more than likely find one that you like. However, if you're pretty savvy with color presentation in monitors, you're not going to be impressed with what you find here. For the average user however, this will suit your needs perfectly. For gamers however, this monitor is a true gem. BenQ monitors are what is currently being used by most Major League Gaming players for their fast response time and having virtually no input lag during play. If you're looking for a good gaming monitor without needing to drop hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, look no further! With this monitor having an awesome 1ms response time and a 60hz refresh rate, you will find no input lag or ghosting or burn ins of any kind while playing. I play Smash Bros competitively and this monitor is perfect for it as it was able to keep up with everything perfectly. This is a pretty decently sized screen as well as it is easy to have a screen this size set up on your average desk (though the circle ring base could present a problem for some people's setups) and the build quality is very solid. Setup was nice and easy and the base screws on tightly to the rest of the monitor and while the circle ring base does what it needs to, I wonder why it wasn't just a solid piece but hey, it's still structurally sound so no complaints there. All in all, for the average consumer if you need a good cheaper monitor, look no further, this will fulfill all that you wish and more! If you're a gamer, this is your answer and excuse for not going out and spending much more money on a true "gaming" monitor. And for other multimedia out there such as filmographers or video editors, this will get the job done but I'd recommend taking a look at other monitors that have better color presentation than this one! Overall a great buy!

The visuals are extra sharp and vibrant on this LED monitor.

Verbage for this product is misleading. Says LED HD. Well, it's an LCD monitor with LED backlight. So it's not an LED HD monitor as advertised. Even the box it came in says LCD monitor. Not too happy about that. This also has speakers, which I didn't want. Wish I would have went with a BenQ for the price, but that's my fault for not researching this product more thoroughly. This monitor is VERY bright! Blacks are not blacks. They are dark grays. Game plays Call of Duty well, but if you're looking for a gaming monitor, I'd stick with BenQ.

One red pixel appeared at the bottom of the screen after only 3 weeks. Hope the whole monitor doesn't go bad. Sound is just OK for audio books, not for music.

Works great but the stand leaves a lot to be wanted. If it had a more agile stand it would get better rating.

This Asus PC monitor is a good example of the positive reviews given by other users. Excellent HD picture, brightness, and refresh rate. Glad I made the plunge and upgraded.

Had it over 3 years, just barely upgraded. He’s been great!

I thought this monitor would go well with my new computer but when I took it out of the box the stand would NOT adjust - at all!! No matter how much pressure I used it would not move. As a result the stand was attached to the monitor at an extremely sharp angle downward and totally unable to be viewed at a normal angle.

purchased this monitor 2 months ago great picture the speakers on board are ok nothing special it does come with a dvi to hdmi cable dvi to vga adapter and one other cable and a audio cable . it comes with 2 hdmi inputs. controls are on the bottom right hand side not very well defined. the stand is sturdy. gaming on this is really good also everyday viewing is good to.overall its a good monitor at 149.99 on sale its a great deal regular price is 189.99 wait for it to go on sale.

This monitor is a perfect fit. I needed a monitor that had built in speakers and could receive sound from the tower without a HDMI to HDMI cable. My tower does not have HDMI, just DVI and VGA. Granted you will need the headphone jack cable (included) for sound plus if you use the DVI to HDMI (included), from tower to monitor, you can turn the monitor volume up some more. They are 2W speakers, not like desktop speakers but it cuts down on clutter and additional wires around the desk. For actual headphone, the jack is in the back and this maybe the only drawback to this monitor but an headphone extension from the tower can eliminate this. Overall, I wish I would have bought it when I first seen it on sale. That would have made this monitor much sweeter.

I bought this monitor a few weeks ago and have no complaints so far, faster than the eye can perceive, and great colors as well. great for gaming and Photoshop.
