As of this review date, this is by far the best gaming monitor bar none! Amazing quality out of the box, no dead pixels, excellent off center viewing light and color, easy gsync adjustment (red light gsync on is so simple but so effective and genius). Some minor tweaks to ICC profile from TFT central on Racing Mode and good to go! Very fast response time and no lag. Once you go this route, you'll never go back to LCD TV's (for PC) or 60 HZ monitors again.

After reading some bad reviews on other online stores due to quality issues and light bleed from the edges of the monitor I was hesitant to purchase it but when bestbuy finaly had it in stock I decided to give it a go and it seems like Asus resolved the qc issues and I can not express how content I am with this monitor. I highly recommend it.

I always thought my previous monitors were fine to game on. Now that I have this I have no idea how I've been gaming all this time with anything less. The picture quality is undescribable. Endlessly better then my older monitors.

For a number of years, I've been using dual Dell 2410 (24" IPS) monitors, and I've loved them, but it was time for a change. I wanted to move up to 27" monitors, and I also wanted G-Sync capability to go along with my NVidia card. After a lot of research I settled on two of these Asus 27" IPS monitors. The PG279Q delivers a stunning image, and being IPS, the color is rich and the viewing angle is wide. In fact, I was satisfied with the way they looked right out of the box ... no tweaking necessary. G-Sync is great, well worth it if you have an NVidia graphics card. They've given new life to my gaming. The only minor downside (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) is there is a small bit of IPS bleed, especially in the corners ... more so than my Dell IPS monitors had. However, it's really only noticeable when there's no image being displayed (such as when the screen is black during starting and shutdown. Otherwise, they're "picture-perfect". I believe I made the right decision and I don't regret the purchase. They're certainly worth their price.

It has everything you need out of a 1440p gaming monitor.

I did quite a bit of research. I wanted something high refresh rate that my graphics card (1070) could push. This is the sweet spot and going up to 165 hz means I can grow in to it with the next gen 70 card from Nvidia.

Best monitor I've ever owned, upgraded from the non high refresh rate version and have to say,high refresh is the way to go!

This thing is literally the best part of my setup now, worth the money if your playing new games and want the best picture quality and enjoy a very high refresh rate 10/10 in my books

I've had this monitor close to a year with no issues at all. Paired with an ASUS GTX Strix 1070. The graphics are amazing. Gaming, browsing the net, work, etc.. Its a little pricey but worth it.

This screen is awesome ! It is just the right size for my environment, and the color is amazing. I have it on an Asus GTX1070 so I get the full G-Sync and the gaming is smooth as silk.

If you play games like Overwatch, CS, PUBG and Fortnight this is great monitor. Remember to use the DP port to get the 144Hz.

As the title suggests, this is the best gaming monitor I have ever used. And, if you are not looking for a curved display, 240Hz+ refresh rates, or 4k; this is the best experience you will have with a monitor hands down. Menus are super easy to navigate and adjust, IO is great, color, response time, and screen look great and don't fatigue the eyes. The reduced eye strain is great for someone like me with a sensitivity to harsh lights. This display has been both a treat and a savior for my eyes while gaming for a long time.

This is a great gaming monitor. I've had two of these for over a year and they both work great. Can't beat the IPS display with the fast response time.

Bought this because heard that this is the best monitor. Just a little bit to expensive for me. Returned because of the price. Still the best 27'' monitor.

I have read horror stories about all the different brands of monitors, dead pixels, IPS bleed through, you name it. I must have gotten the only perfect one out there, I see nothing wrong with this monitor, it has a beautiful picture, even in low light situations. Their is no downside to this monitor at least the one I purchased, I bought the 4 yr guarantee just in case some pixels do start dying off. Overall I was highly impressed with monitor. It was worth every penny I spent on it, Best Buy had it on sale too for $75 off, which was the best price online too.

The graphics are outstanding, very crisp and highly recommend for gaming or just general use!

Had this monitor for about a year a half and its one the best monitors I have ever used.

This monitor is amazing! IPS really brings out the best in every game and even just watching videos or surfing the web.

I have had no issues with this monitor. Set up was easy. The monitor has tilt as will as will move up or down on the stand. Nice touch with the logo lights on the base. The setup buttons are a bit interesting to get used too but outside of the initial setup , I haven't used them since so not a biggie. It's just what I was wanting for my rig rebuild this year. I wanted a LED with better screen resolution than I had, plus with G-Sync. I have no ghosting, or dead pixels. Highly recommend.
