I saw some reviews on Amazon about this stating that quality control was hit or miss, but the panel that I received worked flawlessly out of the box. Very small amount of edge bleed in one corner, nothing that I will ever notice while gaming. Reviews after receiving and one solid day of use. Pros: 144hz is insane when paired with GSYNC. I have a 1070 in my rig, had to tone down to High settings from Epic on Overwatch to get a steady 144FPS @ 1440p, but it is absolutely worth it. If you have a good rig and are still on a 60hz monitor, you are missing out. Literal butter is the only way to describe this. Colors are nice and vibrant. Next to my 24" ASUS run of the mill monitor, its hard to believe that I thought the whites I were seeing were actually white. Calibration wasn't too far off out of the box either. Response time is good, you aren't going to notice 4ms over 1ms in most situations. Overwatch/CS:GO are as fast as they need to be to make sure that you can make the plays you need to make. The build is very nice. The stand is sturdy, and the ergonomic features are great. Added bonus to have the 90deg rotation ability as well, since I play Eve and there are some scenarios where a vertical screen space makes life easier. Cons: To get the 144hz out of this ( I haven't touched the overclock to 165 yet, I need to look in to upgrading my rig to realistically accomplish this) you have to use DisplayPort. This is my first DisplayPort monitor, and any time you switch to a fullscreen game, or the resolution has to change, it isn't very elegant. I've seen odd artifacts, flickering on the monitor and the LED that is on the base, and a bit longer of a wait than what I am used to with HDMI. The payoff is well worth putting up with the small inconveniences though. This may also just be standard with DisplayPort , I am still getting up to speed on what is considered normal for it. The only other complaint that I have so far is how GSYNC and borderless window gaming don't seem to play well. If I click out of a BW game to my second monitor, the refresh rate drops to 60. 75% of the time, it will remain at 60 until I push the "turbo" button on the display to knock it back up to 144hz. I have seen this complaint on forums, and is probably just a software limitation at the point. Still doing some digging as to what the best solution is. But, again, the performance of this screen makes me not care about small stuff like this. Overall, I would definitely recommend this monitor. I have been considering a 144hz monitor for some time now, and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I did a lot of research in looking for a video game pc in the market. And i had been eyeing this one for awhile, mainly for the name brand Asus. I always have been a fan of Asus products and had no problem with their products so far. As to what this monitor has to offer for me and my needs and wants. it meets my expectation, higher refresh rates, umm. faster response time at 4ms, because it is an ips panel which is okay for me, i don't really notice the difference between 1ms and 4ms. I went with an IPS panel due to better color reproduction, but i can't tell the difference, i had been using an ips panel in the past years with my asus gaming laptop which performs fairly well. I like the game plus option mode, and some selected modes for picture viewing. I like the osd navigational button, and it is red. I like the red logo and red ring lighting on the base of the monitor. you can turn it off in the menu i think, but it sticks to only one color only. The monitor can mount to a vesa arm mount 100x100. I have yet to use in the near future. I like that it is wqhd and also g-sync compatible with only nvidia graphics card. Overall i would recommend it, i waited for a lower price and decided to bite it since it has been out for awhile now and it might be discontinue soon. I had just a little bit of light bleeding in the top right corner, but it is not really bad or noticeable when watching movies or even using the light bleed test on youtube. I almost hit the jackpot with this one with no light bleed, but i can live with it. It a bit heavy, but feels strong. I like knowing i can rotate it at different viewing angles, and even rotate it to a vertical position. This will be nice set up with another same monitor. Great gaming monitor for pc gaming. I'm not sure for use with console gaming. Would buy again if cheaper.

Still trying to figure out how to get this monitor pixed or replaced with no luck.

Buying this monitor was one of the best decisions i could have made for my setup. The colors on this thing are amazing and the detail is really sharp. Even though its a 1440p monitor , because of its 27" size the pixels are really dense so everything looks super high quality. I was able to overclock my monitor to 160HZ which is always awesome , "free extra performance" . The price is a bit steep at $800 but compared to asus 4k 144hz monitor {$2000} option this monitor will still be king for a while.

I gave a lot of thought between this and the comparable Acer predator. Based on my research and testing the Asus is your best bet, same panel, but the stand and overall construction of the Asus is far above the Acer model. Using the monitor controls it was very simple to overclock to 165hz, and see amazing performance in game. Using 2560x1440 @ 165Hz, I was at max settings in Overwatch w/ a render % of 75. This was giving me the desired frame rate and exceptional quality. In order to pull these settings I also upgrade my video card to a Asus ROG Strix 1080. If you are on the edge or are just not sure, if you have the cash it is a great option and a wonderful purchase.

I have the 2015 edition of this monitor. Writing a review to speak volumes to how amazing this monitor series is. Once you go Gsync / 144hz, you can't go back. I want to applaud the 3 year warrenty (at least on the 2015 edition), which covers the entire panel. My monitor experienced a ghosting issue, almost exactly 3 years into the warrenty. I called customer care, and they were friendly and quick to respond to my issue. No questions about the problem. They had me send out the monitor to their CA repair shop (third party), and I had it back within two weeks with a BRAND NEW upgraded panel installed. Bravo on caring for your customers. Although it is pricey for a monitor, know that Asus will take care of you. On top of that, gaming on this thing is a beast. No doubt about it. If you are on the fence, just jump over it and buy this thing!

Okay so I read the reviews and was just a tiny bit skeptical about the light bleeding & dead pixel, but honestly that is just 100% pure bad luck. DO NOT make your decision based off those negative reviews. This monitor is so beautiful, runs fantastic with my GTX 1080 graphics card. I could not believe the difference between this monitor and basic HD monitors. The IPS panel makes the colors vibrate and makes gaming all that much better. Buy this if you can afford! Like all technology you buy for longevity. Do not buy some cheap $200 monitor if you expect it to last and have good quality for over 2 years.

I returned a 4k HDR LG monitor (27") because, in the end, I realized only having 60hz was not enough, especially for future proofing my new PC. So instead, I returned the LG monitor and got this one... sure, I no longer get true 4k or HDR, which I really wish this monitor would have HDR, but it's worth the sacrifice to be able to game at 144/165hz. It's a total difference, IMO. You can not go wrong w/ this monitor. I've only had it for a week, but it's legit. No dead pixels, no issues, so far.
