This Monitor is great. Easy to set up, I don't use the speakers but I would thing the rear facing speakers might be better facing the person. The main thing that I would change is There is no vesa mount. Now this is not huge thing for some but for me I was really wanting to mount. Now I fixed this by getting an adapter, but still I don't know why any monitor would come without vesa mounting.

This is s fantastic gaming monitor. It has the lowest input lag (source: Display lags site) of any monitor, which makes it perfect for FPS. Not only that but with the correct calibration it has amazing color and offers great viewing angles. The only downside is its 1080p, which is absolutely OK given the price point.

This is really an awesome monitor. The only issue I had was I did have to exchange it two times. First monitor had a defect in the screen and the second one had stuck pixels. I guess they say third time is a charm. From what I have been reading and researching other people are having the same problem, one person posted they had to go thru 5 monitors to find one that was defect free. The reason behind this is because since its a cheaper monitor they don't go thru all the stringent testing "from what people have guessed" Other then that the monitor is a great price and a great value once you find a defect free one. I highly recommend it to anyone, also has a 3 yr warranty it says on the box.

I ordered the monitor via online NEW, but it came damaged and most certainly used. Upon calling customer service I was transferred 3 times in which they finally insisted that I drive to Best Buy to replace my item. I ordered it online because I DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO THE STORE. It's far away from my location! So then, they said they'll ship a replacement, but when I asked to have the item ship faster, one of them told me I had to pay an EXTRA 20 DOLLARS. Why do I have to pay for that? As a customer who was supposed to receive a new and scratch-free item (today), I received a damaged one. But okay, if I don't want to wait those extra days for a replacement to be sent, I have to pay more money and cover up for Best Buy's mistakes. I do not see how that is logically sound. Later on, another representative told me that I already had expedited shipping and kept on rudely interrupting me. When I asked her when the replacement would arrive, I could almost visualize her shrugging and "I don't care" attitude as she told me she wouldn't know unless I went through the process. At that point, I gave up. I received different answers from each representative, all who were rude and unable to help. Sadly, this is a great monitor, but I wouldn't get it through the online service (or maybe even Best Buy). Through this horrible experience, I also doubt I'll be visiting Best Buy anytime soon.

The monitor is very well made but the issue I have most with it is the the colors change on it. Orang and yellow are the ones that it usually has issues with but bedsides that it's a great monitor.

The monitor is great with gaming and everything else, but for some reason the sound will not play at all. no matter what I do, wish I could get some help.

Monitor is great it is huge in the picture quality is fantastic.

So, I use my monitors (yes, I have two of these) for "hardcore" gaming, but more importantly video/photo editing. For what it cost, I am very pleased with this product and its capabilities. I would recommend this for gamers or video editors alike. The built-in speakers aren't the GREATEST, but they're pretty good for what they are. If you're looking to get a new monitor, I really suggest looking at this. Go online and look at other reviews, you won't really find any negative reviews for this product. It's on sale currently too, jump on it!

I recently bought a $300 27'' LG monitor and was not pleased with how it performed. Some parts were cheap, the monitor had light bleeding and did not have a good contrast ratio. I returned it and bought this for $50 more and am amazed at the difference in quality. The color, the sleek look, this monitor just looks astonishing compared to what I have been using previously.

Use for my Mac PC and works great, outstanding picture.

Fast and easy setup. Amazing display and awesome for gaming! When not gaming, I watch most of my movies on this monitor.

The other reviews for this monitor are overwhelmingly positive and that is what persuaded me to purchase it. I'd had a number of other ASUS products from motherboards to monitors and always had good luck with them. Sooner or later, luck runs out it seems. My monitor has been plagued by annoyances since it was roughly a month old. The primary issue is that it has tons of "noise" present in the display. It appears as green colored pixels that oscillate on the panel. Changing HDMI cables and such doesn't resolve it. My second monitor which is also an ASUS is just fine. I've been far too busy to jump through the repair hoops but it is unbearable at this point so it either gets drop kicked out the window or replaced. If you should happen to buy one of these monitors and have weird green pixels (or red dots in some cases) just take it back right away.

The best monitor I ever had! It's edgeless, it's slim, the picture is amazing!

I got this monitor as a replacement for a 23inch samsung led monitor which I thought was nice however I wanted something bigger and i saw this also had a Bang & Olufsen design sound system built in. When I plugged in my PS4 I was astounded by how beautiful this picture was. It was even better than my tv. This is definitely a monitor for a gamer or someone who work in design.

Great Monitor clear good quality you should buy it

I'm a gamer and run a triple monitor setup. I went in looking to replace one of my 22" acer monitors I bought 7 years ago. The store didn't have anything in the 22" size so, I decided to upgrade my center monitor to this. I try and buy the cheapest monitor I can find. I decided to pull the trigger on this after reading some of the comments while standing in the store. My previous monitors have all been TN panels so, I have had to adjust them 'just so' to take advantage of them. This is my first (and certainly not last) IPS panel. The screen is bright and the menu is easy to navigate. I am not a big fan of the 'touch sensitive' buttons on the underside of the screen though. Still, aside from that, this has turned out to be a fantastic purchase!

I really wanted to like this monitor (Asus MX279). Image quality was good, looked great on my desk. The Asus warranty is solid 3 years. However, listening to any sort of audio whether it was music or playing a game of World of Warships it was....awful. The sound was muddy. Any sort of voices were no where near clear. In fact, the laptop residing inside my desk has clearer sound that what was coming from this monitor. Really disappointed too since Bang & Olufsen are attaching their name to this. Returning this today to search for another monitor. Kudos to Best Buy and their return policy!

These screens are amazing. The prices were also great at the time. The picture is also amazing.

I've had this monitor since November of 2014, and initially I loved it. Recently, however, my opinion has changed. There is now a vertical line running down the side of the screen about 3/4 of an inch in from the left edge. Initially I thought it was my graphics card, but I've since determined that it is indeed the ASUS MX279H monitor. Another problem, though minor, is that the silver bar at the bottom of the monitor that has the ASUS label (as well as all the IPS, HDMI, SonicMaster, etc labelling) keeps coming loose. So within a short span of time I've gone from recommending this to friends at work to going back and telling them to ignore my recommendations.
